JL, I'm sure I'm not the first or the last person to point this out, but objectively, your disposition concerning political/social/cultural issues is right in line with the Hitler's selling points during the birth of the Nazi party. Congrats on bringing ignorance and intolerance around full circle.

Ftr, I'm a libertarian so save the liberal bashing, it doesn't apply here. Thanks.

You are right, you are not alone in seeing the absurdity of his position. But the reality is there is almost no difference in extreme zealots of any variety. How many of them don't ultimately believe "People like me are inherently better. We must surround ourselves with like minded people for our safety. We must keep out the heathen non-believers. WE are better and WE deserve to make the rules as we see fit. Those who disagree need to be kept at bay. They are not as worthy as we are. We must protect ourselves--with force if need be. Our safety and our beliefs are more important and must be preserved even if THEIR rights need to be suppressed a little."

Nazis, communists, Taliban, skinheads, Weatherman, Papa Doc, extreme Jewish separatists, the Shining Path, the militant RWW groups in Kingman AZ, wacko fringe of the Thumpers.....

There is little difference among them under the skin.

Well, we should always protect ourselves. Its survival of the fittest. It should be base on the individual though, not the group.

Ok, do you know how utterly foolish you sound here? Where do you think the Jews came from? They weren't from the native Germanic tribes that made up most of the German people prior to German unification. That would make them what? IMMIGRANTS right? The Nazis also killed Gypsies who were what? IMMIGRANTS too! Oh, yes, they also killed gays and communists as well who were in many cases Germans. So yes, more than just indirectly, the Holocaust was about immigration and it caused a great deal of Jewish emigration which necessarily entailed immigration on the other end (which is where we got so many of our great German artists, scientists, teachers and businessmen, thank you very much).

In reality humans have been immigrants for pretty much the entirety of human history (the only place we really haven't been immigrants is the Great Rift Valley) far beyond just written history of civilization. Humans immigrated into Neanderthal territory, bred with them and took over at one point (Europe anyone?) Only in the last sixty or so yeas did anyone but diplomats ever have to do anything to emigrate and become an immigrant except show up. Now that is true libertarianism!

Only diplomats had to have passports and visas much less green cards or citizenship papers. Yes, there were some racially based immigration laws prior to WWII and the U.S. was one of the worst variously outlawing Asians, Mexicans and Africans at various times in our history, but the main point is that "illegal immigration" is a pretty new concept that has never in human history been able to be enforced. It's kinda like making a law to stop people fucking to put it terms anyone on this site can understand. I doubt it can ever be enforced (never has yet) so everyone might outta find a liberal who has an idea for how it can be controlled to manage the more unsavory aspects of human population movements and give that a try (it won't be perfect but if it works at all it can be improved).
