I think for many ladies on the high end, the money is just icing. Most have a second source of income of some sort - and that seems to be part of the appeal for the gentlemen who book HDH. They don't want someone whose entirely life revolves around the industry and like being able to have both parties talk about their work.

I can only speak for myself, but new dates are a rarity. I see mostly the same people over many years. I've more than once had posters on the board refer to the myth that I'm "busy". Yeah I'm busy...but with the same two people the vast majority of the time. I meet less then ten people a year.

For me the rate structure is about finding gentlemen who can afford to have a consistent, frequent ongoing arrangement. I'm marketing to a certain income bracket, not trying to make as much money as possible.

I don't know any "high end" women that are claiming to be rolling in money. I have seen a few get lucky and manage to make some pretty impressive frequent clients who pay their website rate. Personally I only use my website as an initial step, and once we're happy with starting an arrangement we discuss financial support that isn't extravagant but keeps me most comfortable and is reasonable and respectful in their eyes. On the other hand, my financial gifts may be smaller but their generosity increases substantially in other ways, so I'm never left in need.

Often as I travel ladies ask to meet me for coffee wanting to learn about mistressdom and they are inevitably disappointed to hear that I may be booked three weeks nearly every month, but the math they are doing based on my website is completely irrelevant. Worse yet is explaining that I actually spend a lot of my down time when I'm home keeping in contact with these gentlemen.

I think what people fail to understand is that generally ladies who go into the higher rate structures don't care if they make less, because what they're trying to avoid is meeting a lot of people. They want few dates, and prefer they were longer and more intimate. Generally the trade off is stability and low volume instead of overall dollars.

I can't say I have met ladies on the higher end who speak poorly of companions with different rate structures - most of them didn't start with the rates they currently have. However, it doesn't seem entirely uncommon for people to log into this forum and insult us.

I have a "supper date" coming up. Do I refer to my window treatments as drapes or curtains.

I'm boooored tonight.

Thank you for this Ms Summerhill. I appreciate your honesty.

Not carpet. Tapestry.

I knew there was a better word for carpet. Thanks!

Do the drapes match the tapestry?

LOL...dg pays extra in heart and PJ in hard-ons!

To answer the OP. The only person who knows how much you make is you....all else is to be taken with a grain of salt. A discussion about rates or income is moot if nobody in the industry can be believed.

" I'm marketing to a certain income bracket, not trying to make as much money as possible."

Wouldn't it be more straightforward to simply state on your website that you are only interested in men with an income > $X and interested in an ongoing arrangement?

I have no idea what $X is; but let's assume that it is substantially more than I make.

Even so, I could afford your rates several times a year, especially if you were the only provider I saw. (75% of my time hobbying was with just one woman. Unfortunately, that "one woman" often moved, retired, etc. and had to be replaced until I just gave up on the "one woman" scenario. Now I use a pool of three, which gives greater stability. Even so, I end up with 2 new sex partners every year.)

So wouldn't that be a failure in your rate system to remove someone from the pool with whom you would prefer not to be intimate? If you'd simply list what $X is, and it were greater than my income, I would self-deselect even if your rates were within my scope. The self-deselection would serve to guarantee a pool more compatible with your mate-choice preferences.
