A lot of money coming in on the USA this morning from overseas bettors. Portugal will push hard for the 3 points and I don't see the USA team packing it in so I'm expecting a wide open match with lots of chances for both sides. The over 2.5 goals is a good bet.

3, you have more faith than me. If they win it will be barely!

Amy, the bet is over 2.5 goals by both teams combined. So if 3 or more goals are scored in the match the bet wins.

I think the best the USA will do today is draw, which would put them in a precarious position going into the Germany match. We'll see, hopefully I'm wrong.

Wink DAMMIT BRITAIN!

With my lions out already, I'm left rooting for the US.

Time to break out that ol' three section chant for the red, white and blue:

PLEASE

DON'T

SUCK!

PLEASE

DON'T

SUCK!

(To the tune of U! S! A!)

The Portugal/USA match went as I predicted. Over 2.5 goals was a solid bet.

The sportsbooks are expecting a draw for Germany/USA on Thursday since a draw will send both teams through to the knockout stage. The odds for the draw are ridiculously low, but I don't see Germany taking a chance and playing conservatively, because if Ghana wins and the USA wins (fluke goal, penalty, whatever), then Germany is out. That's too much risk to take.

I like Germany to win outright. Under any other circumstances these odds would be twice what you can get them at today.

USA vs Belgium, US has a better chance of winning, Belgium is not a strong team like Germany. Mexico vs Netherlands, oh god I hope Mexico somehow win out of this
