For me it depends on the situation. I do my best to defer to the provider's availability as I find it results in less complication when setting up an appointment. If I want or need a short-notice rendezvous, I usually check the ads for immediately available providers since I figure they are advertising for a reason.

If I PM a provider and she doesn't respond in a reasonable period of time, I will check her "last activity" time stamp on her profile. Many times it's obvious they haven't been on the site in several days and it makes sense that they wouldn't have responded. Everyone needs their breaks. On the other hand, if they've been on the site since I PM'd and they haven't responded I delete the email thread and move on. If a back-and-forth email thread develops and they suddenly stop, I move on, but will respond if they start the conversation back up. I won't reinitiate the conversation.

Last minute cancellations are generally a non-starter for me - first impressions, etc. I'll accept a late cancellation if it's a provider I've seen before because we all have things that happen or come up...unless it becomes a habit.

One thing I've noticed about some of the newer providers (and even a few veterans) is that they don't appear to understand customer service. I am courteous and respectful always, but at the end of the day I am the customer. If a person making $7/hour serving me a burger can be courteous, I don't see why providers can't exhibit some of the same qualities.

1 - (but I usually send 2 simultaneous messages, usually PM (for verification) and email/text IF that is what she indicates. If there is no answer, DONE.

If there is an answer within a limited amount of time, even past the requested date, let's say a week or so, then I'll try again.

Usually just once per there preferences. 'Course, I spend a lot of time traveling, so I usually stay in touch with providers I'm already familiar with.

Much like F2C. PM via ECCIE or P411 then email verify. Since I normally schedule 4+ days out that should be MORE than adequate time.

And because I wasn't raised on a GameBoy I really HATE texting. If they come up with a Dragon product for cell phones then maybe I'll change.

Texting... yikes...
Dragon has a FREE app for iPhone and iPad. It's really good and does a very good job even with my accent, my native language it does perfectly.

I am surprised they don't have one for the other smart phones ...

I hope some ladies are paying attention to the pole a lot of hobbyist seem to do the 1 and done versus everything else. Kinda like the first impression is a lasting impression. I might be changing my tune and go with the 1 and done versus the 3 strikes your out. All good info.

As a busy woman, I'm just gonna put my two cents in too...

I post on San Antonio's SNAT thread daily if I am available. But then RW stuff happens and I can't always book someone. The last few weeks I've had four appts those whole 14 days. And it wasn't for lack of potential customers.

I would love to be able to take everyone that I could screen. But I am a single mother, I go to school full time, I do maintain an active social life (gasp!) and I'm working on other business ventures outside of this so this really is more of a hobby to me. That's not to mention how many actual emails from X,Y, and Z site that I get on a daily. If you have contacted me in the past and haven't received a response, most likely it's not because of you and that I don't want to see you. It's most likely because something came up in my real world life and I couldn't get to you. Yes, there are many different options you can choose from. But don't miss out on a great catch because of timing issues the first time!

I believe in trying to respond to every PM I get. Yes, RL does interfere sometimes, but it only takes a couple minutes to reply saying "Sorry, not available" or something similar. I feel that not answering at all is rude and disrespectful. Unless the guy is rude in his request or has been in the past then he deserves an answer.
Granted, I don't always answer right away because I may be busy or sleeping, I do answer when I can. If I blow off answering just because I'm busy, what does that say about me? Even if I answer later, I'm taking the time to show that I value the person and that respect could earn me a possible regular.
I agree that this is a customer service based business/hobby and I believe in providing the best service possible, both before I meet someone and when we meet.

I respect all single mothers and congratulate you on being such a strong woman. I do have a question though. Not saying it's always possible but knowing most guys like instant gratification do you try to reply to most of your PM's that are sent to you or do you ignore them and delete them?
