Double Standards
This board caters to a "business". Some come here to socialize (or anti-socialize). However, most guys come here to shop and most gals come here to promote. Can't we just recognize the reality without passing one-sided judgement?

I agree Jack. It was not blatant self promotion anyways. Usually those one-sided judgements say far more about the personality and attitude of the person making the comment rather than the person who is the subject of the comment.

My issue with the OP, and my "threAD" attack is based on either a couple scenarios....one she is just clueless and doesn't know a webserver from dns or a hole in the head, two, some other idiot is responsible and told her "I changed your DNS", so, send out an alert, or three it's just a ploy for business, in which case, I just say, make it known you are ADVERTISING, and don't really give a shit about your clients ability to reach your website.
I'm leaning towards the latter, as DNS will in no way, selectively allow an ipad or ios device versus a desktop web browser, android device or otherwise to connect to it.
Since DNS is solely a way translate the easier to use domain name instead of its IP address and direct the inquiry to the appropriate router and final destination a web server, it's just silly to say "I changed my DNS today", DNS works or it doesn't, it doesn't tareget a particular device. The webserver, or actual coding of her site will influence page loads, not DNS.
About the only DNS related issue could be a backlink or ad on her site, IF her webhost had changed DNS servers could account for various elements of a page to not load, but not the whole site.
So, my thought, she/they whatever, just another way to "get business", which like I said before, just come out and say it.
