Hacked and changing ALL info... advice needed

He completley hackd my droid razr.. verizon.... I have pix of the apns he put on it somehow totalllllllly added remotely and they all say att or cingular. Plus she had it set up on his actual network but restriced calling out. He even locked me out completley and named the fucken phone "good to stalk" so that's what I saw when powering it up w he unlock screen.

Moneys been tight as it is and I don't have the means to replace my laptop although I do have another phone... need to get it turned on tmw. And so not only is it a complete invaaion where I feel vulnerable and exposed with NO way to fight back...... he also has an impact on my earning when I can't get into my devices and have to change passwords three times for every damn thing I try to do.

If he's reading this.... id like to say a few choice words.... but words can't help me any more than throwing a rock at his car would. I'm fuucked. He knows that. Thanks [Staff edit. M] I hope you're having a blast and its worth the effort.... jesus

The FBI ransom ware is a nasty little invasion. You suddenly get a message on your computer saying the FBI has been monitoring your computer and , for one reason or another they say they are shutting you down until you contact them and pay a $300.00 fine. Then you can no longer do anything on your machine, All you will ever see, after it installs itself ,is the same message every time you reboot.

I would "flash" every single device you have and reinstall from scratch. If you are feeling really adventurous, get familiar with Ubuntu or dual partition hard drives.

Minimum settings:
- ENCRYPT YOUR HARD DRIVE IF IT CAN SUPPORT IT ... PGP or at a minimum TruCrypt
- Wireless Router = WPA2 encryption
- Laptop = Spybot Search & Destroy Realtime monitoring or Malware Antibytes
- Firewall & AV = Microsoft Security Essentials or ZoneAlarm & Avast
- If you are using Windows establish an Administrator account and a regular user account with non-administrator privileges. Use the regular account for everything except software installation.

* Don't click on strange files you receive even if you know the sender.
* If you don't encrypt your hard drive consider storing all of your business related contacts / info on an encrypted USB stick.

Thanks for all the informative postings. I got a new modem but am not going to even plug it in until I have a rep talk me through making it 100% more secure than my last one was. Also... I don't know if a new thread should address this... but PLEASE do NOT use thhe google voice number 512 eight 43149two. I will no longer store any info about clients in my phones so please have patience w me if I don't recall you or have to look your number up in a spiral. Please reconsider my last *. If an encrypted USB is somehow lost, stolen or discovered and you've set a decent enough password, the information is difficult to discover. Not so much for pen and paper. Something to consider.
