Why Close the Threads?

Just because a thread is hijacked or derailed is not reason enough to close it. Nor because the OP requested it closed. There is a reason why the best mods are the dead mods. Does anyone else thinck OSD is hinting around for a SL t-shirt? That just taint right.

Threads and ThreADS should NOT be closed.... just point them till they don't post any more. I love the way Chica Chaser use to do it...he would warn everyone and told certain people to check their PM'S. Love letters from CC as I use to call them.

A quick case in point ... the above comments with SL and myself. I just commented on SL's post ... that IS NOT a hijack. Some confuse commenting on a post to a hijack. I have never understood why butt it does happen.

By commenting on a post the thread can go another way. Butt there is no reason to threaten posters or close the thread. I look at every thread as the little experiment I feel we all did in school. The one where the teacher whispers something into the first brat's ear and he whispers to the next brat, and so on thru all the brats ... When the last brat pipes up what was he was told it is always vastly different than the initial whisper from the teacher.

"Wakeup" jumped in and called everyone a whore.

This then became the topic of "discussion" .
Annef never answered just what facts she disputed about this thread.
Annef got confused over "mis spelling and using a word incorrectly in a sentence"
Annef also go upset because I don't buy in that this is a "professional forum"

purtybaby got really upset and then apologized for getting upset.
(purtybaby is a very fine kisser, I like her) I do agree we should treat everyone personally with respect, we don't have to respect everyone's argument's.

Sad.. that one person can completely derail an honest discussion. As a long time member of this board, I would recommend correcting , punishing, banning the person who is out of line.
Not Closing the thread.
Especially since closing the thread was the objective of one side of the discussion.
