They only had one other song in the US top 100 so I guess they qualify ( "Baby Don't You Know")

In my mind, the greatest song that was a one-hit wonder was Soft Cell and Tainted Love. The Human League and Don't you want me Baby comes a close second.

Human League wouldn't be a one hit wonder. "Don't You Want Me" and "Human" were both #1s in the US and "(Keep Feeling) Fascination was #6. They had 3-4 other top 50 songs as well.

Golden Earring actually had a bigger hit with "Twilight Zone".

You are correct. I guess they were two hit wonders. They actually had some pretty solid albums, but just the two radio hits.

Two hits - "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" - US #2 and "Lets Go" - US #9. Two other #1s on the US Dance chart with "Don't Let Go" and "Dance Hall Days". Doesn't qualify.. sorry.

Maybe not a "real" band, but let's not forget the movie band The Wonders and That Thing you Do.

a-ha - Take On Me one of my favorite songs and videos from the 80's

So what are some of your favorite one hit wonders.. from any decade.
I will have you know that A-Ha was NOT a one hit wonder! They are actually still making music and touring to this day! Just sayin

(it is horribly embarrassing to admit, but the very first concert I went to was A-Ha and I cried like a girl through the whole concert)

Some great one hit wonders......

The Travelling Wilburys "End of the Line" - what is not to love about a few rock legends collaborating together too briefly.

Modern English "Melt With You"
Murray Head "One Night in Bangkok"
Falco "Rock Me Amadeus"
Europe "The Final Countdown"
Dream Academy "Life In A Northern Town"

There were so many one hit wonders in the 80's I can't even think of them all, but those were some of my favorites.

Not The Traveling Wilburys-- Hit #2 with 3 singles-- Handle With Care, End of the Line, and She's My Baby.....

Falco- Vienna Calling got to 18 in the US but few would know them by other than the Amadeus song.

Europe- You forget "Carrie" which was actually a bigger hit reaching #3 in the US.

And yes, music is kind of my thing.... LOL
