Back when I first started hobbying on craigslist and backpage, I used to do the same thing. I would go to the area early and just scope out the scene and make sure there were no odd cars just roaming the area and guys just standing around also. Anytime I felt unsafe I would call the provider and tell her I didn't feel comfortable with her incall choice. I always follow my gut. Better safe than sorry and I never take my wallet inside the incall. Sometimes the outside scene might not have anything to do with the provider but Its just not worth the risk to me..
