Some guys deserve it. In this case, an open, sincere apology works only if she accepts it. If she does and is willing to give you a second chance, take care of her then. If she wont give you a second chance, then decide what's fair. If you go by "what's fair" and "the right thing to do" in this thread (paying for the session time to make it right), then, by the same token, to make things right if a provider pulls a nsns, is "the right thing to do" a session on the house? We know that wont happen, so what's fair?

I don't know about fair, but I do know that if I pull a NCNS/ or cancel within 24hr of an appointment with my GP, Therapist, GYN, or Dentist, I get billed for it regardless, and until such bill is payed they will not offer their services to me.

Did I think they could have at least phoned me to let me know? Of course. Did I feel like my time had been wasted? Yes, but did I turn round to the receptionist and demand a free appointment the next time I came in? Hell no.

I understand shit happens to all of us, but what I'm saying here is from a purely financial standpoint, a NCNS hurts our pockets a lot worse than the men. So that is my sentiment on the matter and that is why I feel we should be compensated when our time is wasted the same as any other professional would require.

At the end of the day if I had my way there would be no NCNS from either party, ever.... But that's not reality.

I'm glad you amended this from your original post. At first it sounded like sorry, my time is golden and the man's isn't worth shit. Telling someone not to schedule during working hours, or with someone you have to drive a long distance is ridiculous, especially in Houston. I know you wouldn't say that to someone wanting to see you. The doctor analogy works to a point. They can do it cause they can get away with it, as their service is a necessity. I've never seen a doctor ask to be fully compensated for that visit you missed either, just a partial fee. Hookers aren't a necessity profession, they're a luxury.

If a guy like ivan, who simply made a mistake, owned up to it and is more than willing to make amends, would you tell him you'll only see him if he compensates you for the missed session first? Maybe a guy, to whom $450 is pocket change, might offer it up to you. But, try making that request to any other guy and you'll not only lose out on another session, you'll also lose that generous tip he planned to give you to make up for his ncns.

No doubt a ncns affects a woman much more than a man. If it's a low-life who couldn't care less, by all means ladies, string him up by his balls in every forum you can. If he's like ivan, a little tact will get a lady to the ultimate goal, being compensated for their time.

If a woman pulls a ncns, then simply says "sorry, let's try again," there's got to be an incentive for me, and I'm sure most guys, to want to risk it happening again, either in time extension, or a slight rate reduction. It's simply good business.

I was cancelled on by a very reputable lady at the time, but the cancellation came near the end of our scheduled time. It was the second time she cancelled on me. The first being an hour before our time. She was very apologetic and offered to make it up to me by a free session. She assured me it would not happen again, so I told her I'd get us a room at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, which she could use for the evening and following morning if she wanted. She loved that. I spoke with her the day before and the morning of and she confirmed our date at 5 pm. I get there at 4 and check in. I get prepared, have a nice bottle of wine and wait. I call her at 4:30. No answer. After a few more calls still nada. I call Htowner and ask him to see if she was on the board, as she was practically an icon. Nothing. Here I am, in a beautiful room with a raging hard on and she's nowhere to be found, not even at the studio where she also worked. I'm super pissed and leave at 7:30.
