Give a clue and the clueless come out of the wood work. It's funny some guys would rather make a statement then do a little research on their own. Maybe they don't know how a computer works, would be my guess. But oh well some do, and some don't.

Research came up with her being on the news, and with her parents. Stating someone stole her photos and was posting them on porn or adult sites.

But you didn't share what you knew. You wrote: FAKE 'she is only 14". You didn't even write it in the post, you just put it in the subject line. Someone who didn't (or couldn't) do the research is naturally going to assume that the posting is fake because she is 14.

Don't expect your audience to do the work you have done. I only knew it because I have done workshops on internet safety and citizenship for middle school kids. You knew what was going on and it wouldn't have been hard to say:

"Guys, this ad is fake. The pictures were stolen from a 14-year-old girl. This was all over the news a few years ago."

You spend so much effort defending yourself from attacks when you could have saved yourself and some of your fellow posters some time and trouble by being more clear.

I know, I don't know all the wording, but you would think most of the guys on here might be a little smarter than me, and understand how I write by now.
I never took a writing class, or how to get information to the masses. I just do the best I can. Maybe I need a form, that I just could fill in the blanks, that way all or most of the information will be there.
