There's some risk from BBBJ. However, the mouth is intended as one of the "guarded" entry points into your body. In nature, us omnivores put uncooked meat and unwashed vegetables into our mouths in order to live.

You can catch something through the mouth. However, the mouth isn't an unguarded welcome mat for germs.
