They ask that info to determine you are not LE. If you are new and have no references and do not have a P411 account they have to use alternative screening methods.

That being said don't give out info if you are not comfortable doing it. It will be a little more difficult for you as a new hobbyist but it is what it is.

Sign up w/P411 (it's well worth the $90); see a couple of newbie friendly providers, (I can think of several that will see you if you're verified on P411), ask them to give you an OK there and you'll be good to go with a lot of the women on here.

True, If you don't feel comfortable I would move on to another person. That is pretty personal to ask for job, phone number, title, date of employment. To each or there own how ever they want to run there business. Always respect there "wishes" maybe that person just trying to keep safe. You could ask them why all that information is needed and if they save it anywhere.
