I can't say enough for how valuable these social events are for meeting new folks face to face. My introduction to a new young lovely at Tuesday's lunch led to some awesome BCD time yesterday.

hmmmmm.... I'm gonna invent a new calendar.... right after the Mayan end of the world, of course. LOL!

December's Happy Hour event is Tuesday, December 18 and yes, XXXmas theme combined with toys for kids, "Little Black Dresses" for the ladies (gents win a prize if they wear the dress, not just the panties!) and TOYS! on a more adult theme.

Normally I dispatch at least two or three rounds of invites per event. Plus some texts.

Folks on my email list and on my PM list get the basic invites a week or so before any event.

There is also a "save the date" mailout/pm-out each month.

Plus I always note the upcoming events in my signature. So I don't feel remiss in publicizing the events.

2012 was a good year for events in San Antonio and in Austin, but 2013 will be even better.

The current 2013 plan includes "interim" low key additional events. Both "small" lunches and "small" happy hours. New venues and new meeting days of the week.

"Small" meaning crowds limited to 10 or 12 gents and 10 or 12 ladies. In venues other than those normally used for communitywide meet & greets. And on days other than the scheduled Tuesdays.

Additional venues are planned for the regularly scheduled M&Gs. Ditto all of the above for the Austin events.
