Have not forgotten that.
I don't think it is good when any side has to ramrod legislation through without cooperation from the other side.

May our future not be like the past 4yrs and may this country come back with a vengeance but by the work & sweat of our brows not Obama hand outs.

Dear Likki, have you seen the movie ' Master and Commander '? To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher the problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of people to take money from.

I thought "Master and Commander" was the movie with Russel Crow about them chasing that French vessel. Are you thinking of "The Iron Lady" perhaps? In any regard, I've always liked that quote, and think it's quite relevant, especially today!

I sure in the heck didn't read everything i wrote
I j read all the negative things people were posting about Obama .
Obama has not been in the office that long and has did a lot of great things and more to come.
More than a lot of people could do in a lifetime let alone president.i feel people should post everything not just the bad things about
Obama even George Bush people say a lot of bad things but hes also did good things as well.
I don't know if people understand when someone get in office they don't die and come back as robots that are going to make the world perfect.that's not how it work's so I'm so over it already it's like people posting these bad things didn't give Obama a chance .

How many times did President Obama say he would make it all better? That his stimulus would put us on the right track? NO ONE is feeling the so-called recovery President Obama is talking about. It does not exist. Just shy of four years and you are still blaming the guy who had the job before you did? VERY classy <<(sarcasm). Now he wants for more years? I cannot imagine the hellish nightmare that this country will be in when Obama wins AND has absolutely nothing to lose in his final term as President. He will do whatever he wants and get away with it. Then it will be up to the poor schlub who gets the job next to try and FIX the massive cluster @#$k that will be th elegacy of Obama's Presidency. And GOD forbid the next guy (or girl) who becomes POTUS blames it on Obama, he or she would be deemed a racist UNLESS they happen to be a liberal.

Sorry everyone I try really hard to stay out of political stuff on here because I am here to have fun. This just made me REALLY angry.

So that I am not branded a racist by pinheads who cannot take criticism of "the one", I am not a racist. I am Mexican or Latino...Hispanic...whatever they are calling us these days I am that. So no racism here. Just tired of people who see this guy as the Alpha and the Omega here.

My rant is over thanks for indulging me.

I wish I could find a link, but something of interest on the ABC evening news in the last week or two.

But it kinda reminded me of history back when the Great Depression got its start (i'm not trying to compare todays events to that.) It told of the paths that Europe and American took when the Subprime went world wide. You know the stimulus thing here. But in Europe, they didn't go that route. Well, comparing to what things are like now, Europe is definitely not recovering as well as the way things are here.

Back in the day, you saw what happened to Europe. It's kinda scary that we could have ended up the same way as Nazi Germany. But that is not what i'm talking about today.

There was no prewritten game book on what to do with what happened. No matter who came to office it was going to be a Yoggi Berra take the fork in the road event. There are decisions that Obama took that I didn't like. And some that I hated at the time he did them but have to admit he did the correct thing now.

Just remember, it was going to be hard for whoever hit office at the time. Regardless of who you blame for the mess.

Ghandiup...apparently, you don't know me and I'm not sure why you're directing socialism toward me...but, let me give you some insight.

I don't believe in socialism! I've worked hard all my life. I didn't have rich or caring parents. They were RELIGOUS HYPOCRITS! Anything I've received, I've worked VERY hard for...paid for my own education...dug myself out of a miserable hole...and have GIVEN more than I've taken. I represent the middle class of America and damn proud of it!!

And, to answer your question...yes, I've seen *Master & Commander* and *The Iron Lady.*

I apologize Nikki. I should have delineated my conversation, the two subjects ran together. In Master and Commander there was a scene at the captains table where Russell Crowe's character used the lesser of two weevils pun. We haven't met and my comment was certainly not aimed at you regarding socialism. I'm with you politically, I believe in living in a country where we have guaranteed opportunities not guaranteed outcome. To those that would say that we don't have equal opportunity how do you explain immigrants who come here with nothing but a dream for a better life and in a few years realize them?
