Thanks everyone for the get well wishes. I’m doing better but still pretty sore at the spot that was bit.
The dogs didn’t actually turn on me. I was keeping the 2 males apart but somehow when I entered the room where I had one of them contained the other dog came up behind. Then I heard a growl and it was about to be on. I then reached for their collars to separate them and well I missed the one. He didn’t miss my hand though. My left hand got bit. My pinky was almost cut off.
It was broke in 2-3 places. I had to have surgery to pin it and sew it back up.
I will be out for another week or so.
Lessons learned.

I'm glad you're okay. Are you going to keep the dogs? I love pits and bull terriers, they're huge sweethearts. I realise they're "dangerous" but really, what ANIMAL isn't aside from small/caged things of course. Properly trained they make amazing pets.

They're still dangerous though. You getting between them made it worse for you. They're not thinking about their masters when they're ready to fight or kill! I'd still get rid of them.

Thanks for clearing that up hun! Get well soon!!

Yes Missy we are keeping the dogs for now. The newly acquired one was not the one that I was bit by. It was the older red nose. They are pretty well trained for the most part but can be aggressive towards strange dogs. APBT are the easiest dogs to house train IMO.
