That is because you refuse to open your eyes. There is none so blind as he who will not see.
Carry on, Sa_fartman. I look forward to your next cheap shot.
Or maybe you would like to explain why you think I should not be allowed to live?
Like I said, the answers have already been discussed at length in other threads, and with more intelligent responses than you are able to muster.

Why can't you just admit you can't back up your assertion? How hard is that for you? It's because it requires humility, obviously something you lack. In another thread you challenged for someone to prove you wrong, but there's no right or wrong in this situation, just you dodging the proof for your statements like a politician. Your base attempts at trying to change the focus won't work...I'm still waiting for you to back your points with facts.

Now you've proven your delusional. I don't see that anywhere. You sure you weren't disbarred? I see a wounded dog when I know it so I'll let you believe that and chalk this one up to you pleading nolo contendere.

I think a lot of people forget that quite a few "bullet" items on this list were started (or continued) by the previous administation (bank bailouts, war and the homeland security issues for starters). For better or for worse, the current administation has continued much of these policies. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I'm more afraid of an administation change rather than keeping the old one. Watch civil liberties such as right to abortion get eroded even further (i.e the sonogram laws in several states). Couple that with a "plan" to reduce the dreaded deficit by asturity measures is going to piss a lot of people off. So I doubt any real change will happen in that department even though there is a shit load of hot air in these so called debates.
But of course, any new administration will waste no time blaming it on the previous/current administration. Fuck lightbulbs, etc if the next administration weakens EPA and lets big industry have their way (at our expense). Throw in some school prayer and legislating morality and even our hobby is at risk.
Some people, me thinks, have been listening to too much "hate radio" and relying on obviously biased "faux" news. Liberal media? Ha, not anymore! Filled with bomblastic pundits who do nothing but criticize and demonize the left without any concrete alternatives other than putting their guys back in office and getting rid of the old ones.
GW and his Homeland security did more to take away our civil liberties than any single president since FDR decided to intern the Japanese Americans. (What's next: lockup all Muslims or illegals here in the US?).

I'm not giving W a break for his complicity in the downward spiral of freedom in this country. He should be tried as a war criminal among other things. But President Obama has accelerated the decline, when he promised to reverse it. No doubt W is a criminal, but he is not President now. What has happened recently, such as NDAA among other things, are entirely Obama's fault.
Sa_fartman, I have addressed all those issues at length in previous threads. I know you need me to post something so you can post a stupid response and think yourself superior. I don't think that is healthy for you. You need to find your self-esteem from within, not from putting down those you don't understand. So I don't intend to rehash everything for you. It's really for your own good. Trust me on this.
Just stand in front of a mirror and repeat to yourself, out loud, "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggonit, people like me." After a few months or years of that, you may be able to contribute something of substance to a conversation. I wish you well.

NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) didn't change anything other than keep us from releasing prisoners that trust me, we do not want released. Perhaps this law "formalized" something that has been going on for years, but laying on Obama is a bit shortsighted. The law actually sounds like something that McCain would have done if he was president.
Sure the president has not "reversed" things. Too much is ingrained with the goverment to have one president change it. Heck, even Bernanke hasn't changed between administrations. The costly overseas war has continued. I can't see that Obama has accelerated much in the way of decline that wasn't already on its way down. McCain could have not done much better or worse.
So, stop blaming the current president and administration for what happening. Again, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Changing out one set of fools for another does little in our system where the politicians are still "on the take" from the ones with the money.

Sorry, the ACLU and others disagree with you. I'll side with them. Please see my other thread "The ACLU is at it again."
And if this was in place before, it is still unconstitutional and those who support it do not understand liberty.

Civil liberties at risk on Obama's watch:
- Obamacare – infringes on the First, Ninth and Tenth Amendments
- “Fast and Furious” – a failed attempt to undermine the Second Amendment
- NDAA – infringes on the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Ninth Amendments
- SOPA/PIPA – a failed attempt to infringe on the Fourth and Ninth Amendments

given all of the unconstitutional rhetoric flying around nowdays from rightwingers, I want to know where were all the rightwing/republican legislators in congress, who take an oath to uphold the laws of said constitutuion when these laws were being passed?
in fact where are they today? shirking their sworn duty?

Well any "true" infringement of laws on the constitution are usually handled by the courts not so much by the law makers themselves.
We could go on and on about how some of our laws from the drug war to social security are unconstituional. Its a moot point really. As Capt Jack Sparrow said: not rules... more like guidelines

The cases are working their way through the courts.

Damn, CJ. I'm starting to like you. Except I don't like violence, but impeachment and jail are very good options.
