Comit Lozenges.... This will help you back off... the oral fixation is pretty good... you can get cherry flavor (yuk) or the mint flavor. I've known several people that have quit dipping and/or smoking due to these little miracles.

I used Chantix to quit smoking. It's supposed to be a 90 day program, but I was done in 30 days. My insurance wouldn't cover the cost because they said it was still "experimental" at the time. It was definately the best 180 I ever spent. And while on the program, the dreams I had were extremely vivid.

Day one~

This sucks. I'm sweating like a construction worker in 100 degree weather. I went and got lozenges AND gum, and right now I am trying the lozenges. We shall see...
I already cut back drastically yesterday. No promises but I'm giving it my all.

It sucks even more because I've been doing very well losing weight over the last three months, so I am trying not to eat out of boredom. The oral fixation part is a doozy.

Why of course my dear, what else would I have been talking about? It is about time we broke a little bread isn't it, looks as if you have moved on from Blue Goose so I need to resupply. I do need to swab the deck sweeper, check the forecastle and secure below decks.

GREY goose, LJ, but I have not touched the stuff in quite some time now..how 'bout some Maker's Mark and 7 up??

...I have to say the lozenges are much more effective than the gum....It stopped the sweats.

I smoked for over 35 years ...more than a pack a day .A heart attack will help you give them up VERY quickly .....it stopped me from smoking .....havent touched one in 17 years ...that is not a real good solution ...but it does happen...My suggestion would be STOP now as soon as possible ..just say NO ...but seriously GOOD LUCK to you ...I know it is hard but you can do it .....T

Have you tried using more lube during sex? That'll usually cut down the smoke...

I just quit about a month ago. Yes i've tryed everything under the sun too!!!! I knew i had to stop. THE MOST VITAL QUESTION YOU HAVE TO ASK YOUR SELF IS WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO QUIT???????????????? I decided to quit because I have been working out and it has taken a toll on my breathing...also because I put on my denim jacket the other day and it reeked of cigarette smoke, and I didn't like. Not to mention I can't even go to a bar or a pool hall in Dallas anymore and enjoy a refreshing adult libation and a smoke, which pisses me off to no end...don't even get me started on that one!
So do share your secret, please! I'm all ears on this one, and taking all suggestions.

First of all, do you drink coffee?? If you do-stop! Coffee and a smoke seem to go hand in hand, I don't drink coffee so for me it was easy, next, try to hold off having that 1st cig. try for 15 mins or half hour, after you can do that try to go for 45min before the 1st cig, this stage could take a week or nore, whatever it takes, if you stick to it you'll find yourself waiting 3-4 hours before your first cig until you ween yourself off, this method took me 3 trys before it worked,and I haven't smoked in over 20 yrs, another thing to think about is while you are sleeping your not smoking right?? if you can go 6-8 hours sleeping without a cig. why not longer??? Get rid of all your ashtrays except one-keep that one in the bathroom-look in the mirror while your smoking, like what you see??? Point out all the bad things that smoking has done to you, stained teeth? wrinkles around your eyes-lips?? tired looking?? Point those things out in the mirror with your lit cig!! Keep a picture of your loved ones in there too. Look at it while you puff-think of all the implications that could happen because of your "habit"- and when you have to smoke, ONLY do it in the bathroom and repeat the things above, it may take awhile but keep tryin, it will happen. Remember you "want" to quit smoking you don't "have" to, wanting to do something is more motivation, and just IMHO' people only gain weight after quiting because everything 'TASTE'S" better, your taste buds arent coated with all the bad stuff....ok I'm done, I've went long enough, I wish you much luck. If anything think about how good your favorite pizza will taste!!! lol.
