Congress allocated 2.9 billion as a supplement to the Basic Allowance for Housing. Rather than allowing the military bureaucracy to dole out the money as needed to those that require the extra funds Trump (as commander in chief) has instead reallocated the money into one time checks to those eligible members of ranks 0-6 and below.

Basically Trump stole money from the BAH, rebranded it as a ‘warrior dividend’ with his name on it and bribed millions of service members with money they already earned.

It’s akin to your employer taking 10% of your paycheck every month and then giving it back to you at the end of the year and calling it a holiday bonus.

It’s straight flimflammery from the grifter in chief.

Irrelevant to the $2.9 billion Basic Allowance for Housing appropriation of the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' that Trump and Hegseth 're-appropriated' (renamed) to 'Warrior Dividend'....and Trump's insinuation that tariffs are paying for the 'Warrior Dividend' when all along the funding was determined back in July.

"We made a lot more money than anybody thought because of tariffs, and the bill helped us along,"

I'm glad service personnel are getting a little extra...disappointed (but not surprised) that Trump/Hegseth feel the need to mislead us as to the source and original purpose of those funds.
