Some of these “losers” become winners eventually. Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold are a few.
The owner is a dipshit. He helps bring in the constantly rotating GMs, coaches and QBs. He’s the problem.

The reason Justin Fields (and Tua) take such vicious hits is because they can't read defenses and hold on to the ball too long!
They don't have a pocket presence (something you really can't teach ... either you have it or you don't)!

There are successful reclamation projects ... to be sure!
But "happy-feet" QBs like Tua, Gino Smith and Jameis Winston will always be interception machines ... regardless of coaching and change of scenery!
(They can't make plays from the pocket on 3rd and long; they can't read defenses; they can't go through their progressions!)
Michael Vick was the quintessential example of these deficiencies!
(A picked-1st-overall bust!)

... Too Right, Char - Jets are similar to Cleveland.
They look for the rapid fix and give up on players too soon.

WHEN was the last time the Jets were in the Super Bowl Final??
And when was the la--- FIRST time Cleveland was there?? ..

I think it’s a tad rich when a hooker board schmo calls a professional athlete a “loser”.

Although the 2022-23 season was a massive disappointment for the Chicago Bears as a franchise, it was a coming-out party of sorts for second-year quarterback Justin Fields. After a season in which he accounted for 25 touchdowns through the air and on the ground, led the league in rushing for quarterbacks, finished seventh in total rushing yards in the NFL, and took a noticeable step forward as a player, Fields earned some national recognition. While carrying an underwhelming Bears offense all season, Fields’ play was recognized by the those who vote on NFL honors.

Michael Vick never won the NFL MVP award, but he was a runner-up for the award in 2004. He was recognized with several other accolades, including being a four-time Pro Bowl selection and the 2010 NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Geno Smith was named the AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year for 2022 after a successful season with the Seattle Seahawks, where he led the league in completion percentage and helped the team reach the playoffs. This award recognized his remarkable return to form after several years as a backup quarterback.

Tua Tagovailoa has not been named an All-Pro in his career so far. However, he has received Pro Bowl honors in 2023 and has led the league in various passing statistic

There are only 32 starting NFL QBs in the world. The hardest position to master in any sport. A QB needs a lot of help to become successful. It’s the ultimate team sport. Being a starter in the NFL for an extended period of time means you’ve accomplished something special. You are not a “Loser”.

Leaving the Jets and finding success elsewhere doesn’t make you a reclamation project. It means you’ve escaped from Alcatraz alive.

If anybody is a loser it’s Woody Johnson. He was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a triple. He did nothing to earn his wealth. He inherited it. Which is fine, just act with a modicum of class and humility.

What you say is true enough!
But let me ask you this: All the accolades that have been bestowed upon the aforementioned QBs ... if you are a defensive coordinator ... are you not salivating when you have Geno Smith, Justin Fields, Tua, Jameis Winston or Michael Vick ... having to make a pass play from the pocket on 3rd and long?
(Those QBs with their various accolades ... can't beat you from the pocket!)
They can't do it!
They all got happy feet!
If their first read is not wide open ... they tuck it and run!
They worked for them in college ... but in the NFL not so much!
Furthermore: I'll bet their red zone passing rating (when they gotta put it in tight spots) ... is abysmal!

Where shall we begin with great college QBs who can't make plays from the pocket (as evidenced by their lack of post season success): Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, Kordell Stewart, Vince Young, RG3, Lamar Jackson, Jameis Winston, Tua, Justin Fields!
(Their post-season, playoff record ... leaves a lot to be desired!)
If you had wagered on them in their post-season starts (when it really counts) ... you would have lost everything!

Maholmes makes most of his big plays out of the pocket. You’re living in the 60’s. It’s a different game now in case you haven’t noticed.

Patrick Mahomes is an outlier!
He's the exception to the rule!
Case in point:
Did you observe the move Wade Phillips made on Cam Newton with 2 minutes left in Super Bowl 50 ... cuz he knew Cam Newton couldn't beat him by driving the Panthers down the field by making plays from the pocket!
Watch the last 2 minutes of Super Bowl 50 ... and observe how Wade Phillips exposed Cam Newton ... as a can't-beat-you-from-the-pocket QB!
Cam Newton got exposed ...and choked big time!

Uh no, Maholmes isn’t an outlier. Allen, Jackson, Herbert, Nix, Daniels, Prescott, Love, Hurts, Williams etc are all dual threats. How’s CJ Stroud doing lately? He’s a pocket passer. Stafford is probably the best example of a pure pocket passer that has had success. But he’s didn’t win anything with Detroit. Burrow can’t stay healthy. But he’s mobile too.

The Jets suck. Fields was 4/2 last year and could have been 6/0 if it wasn’t for Tomlins trash D.

You could easily see Justin Fields being a career backup (like Mitch Trubiski) ... from here on out!
How many 1st round QBs have played for 3 different teams in their first 5 years?

Mayfield, Darnould, Wentz, Lance,Pickett, Smith all played for several teams in their careers. Several were drafted higher than Fields.. You have to be in the right place. Besides, Fields chose to leave. The Steelers offered him a contract to return.
