So, I guess trump doesn't understand basic economics then, either? After all, he's the fucking moron who promised "lower prices on day one". We all heard him say it.

And his dipshit voters bought it, hook, line and sinker. So, who really has unrealistic expectations based on their political bias?

Because, spoiler alert: no prices have come down.

Trump set the expectation. It has nothing to do with bias. He's welching on a campaign promise while your beef costs more.

Sad

Trump wants to export beef to Australia when the domestic beef shortage has prices up.

All else equal, what would that mean?

Why don't you talk about WHY the American Beef herd is the smallest in 60 years?

What conditions exist that have driven the herd so small?

Oh, it couldn't be the Feds fucking with farmers at every chance they get?

I thought you side wanted high beef prices because their farts are destroying our childrens future?

Well, you are getting exactly what you wanted, aren't you?

IF you continue under that attitude that one man can cure all ills, you will never be happy, or you just want to bitch to bitch.

Sell your classic car, and eat more beef, its a simple matter of where you want to put your money.

Pork is under 2 bucks a pound in every local store, learn to live within your means as everyone else does.

Frankly, you all need to grow a set and quit bitching.

Sell it to the Aussies at 20 bucks a pound, make a bigger profit, and buy more cows.

That's how capitalism works, sell shit to people willing to pay more, and make a bigger profit.

If you can sell all your beef in Australia, for twice as much, why sell any here?

That is business, perhaps YOU need to start a cattle ranch and sell all your cattle at a loss and see how that goes.

No, you set YOUR expectations higher, I am a skeptic of the fact that any one leader, can lead an instant change in ANY market.

So, Mamdani, spelled with my expections of it being correct, has promised to freeze rent costs, and open Goverment run grocery stores, amongst other impossible wants the Socialist is promising.

Do you expect low cost housing and free or subsidized food the week after he's elected in NYC?

a Month?

Ever????

Fuck no, because its always political bullshit, Trump is making a difference, like removing the 200 dollar tax on suppressors, and short barreled rifles and shotguns, which is great for me, but it has no effect on most of the country.

Its why I'll say it again, its why I left both the D and then R in my voting life, neither party is right, neither party can accomplish much change, as long as the dual hatred exists, and yes, its on both sides, the anger is far greater on the left, as is the hatred, but it exist in both.

Perhaps you should research "Skepticism".

Maybe this contributes to the lack of supply. Disruption in the meat processing industry.

ICE Took Half Their Work Force. What Do They Do Now?
Glenn Valley Foods tried to verify every hire through a federal system. After a raid, the company is wondering how it can keep going.

For more than a decade, Glenn Valley’s production reports had told a story of steady ascendance — new hires, new manufacturing lines, new sales records for one of the fastest-growing meatpacking companies in the Midwest. But, in a matter of weeks, production had plummeted by almost 70 percent. Most of the work force was gone. Half of the maintenance crew was in the process of being deported, the director of human resources had stopped coming to work, and more than 50 employees were being held at a detention facility in rural Nebraska.

I actually don't agree with selling any commodity overseas if there is any shortage here domestically. It's unethical and promotes off shoring sales just like the natural gas community wants to do. Soon as they can matter of fact, and that day will come where your heating bill will double based on greed just as beef and gasoline cost rise. It's not that we ran out T bones, we just ran out of 9.99 T bones.

Capitalism is fine for finished goods or services but there needs to be protections for farmers and consumers on price gouging and all. Wait a minute...didn't Trump just get rid of the consumer protection bureau??

Thank God he is letting all the people buy 25 dollar steaks now !!

All hail Trump

All business is international now, face it, its going to be the future, the EU agreed on new import duties with us this weekend, Trump is doing his best to LEVEL the WORLD playground on trade.

I agree with your assessment in times of severe need, a war, famine, etc, but isolation no longer works.

Trust me, I was cordial...............

I made Indonesian sweet soy ramen tonight and cut pork sirloin into Char Siu, local zuchini, carrots and green onions.

Paid 2.49 a pound the sirloin, it stays far more tender than the loin.

As I said, live within your means, and adapt.
