They worship big gumment...our founding father won't believe how out of control it has become.
Very few on the left actually feel that way. But they are regularly blamed for the mess, so it is understandable that you would believe it.

Almost any organization can benefit from regular reorganization. But this idea that they all need to be destroyed first... it's bullshit.

Destruction is only part of the goal.

This is actually a power grab, when it comes down to it. They destroy most institutions, then make you rely on them to determine what you allowed to have. And you get it only if they approve of the function... and... ultimately... of you.

And all of this is enabled and enacted by people who are more and more beholden to the elite. They want to join that class themselves, and this is probably their only ticket. They can't get there on merit or by being born into it. They ain't gonna invent no spaceship or build a business that someone wants. So they sell themselves to a system that they think values them, will allow them to be a part. Then they are amazed when they are betrayed. Fucking morons. Traitors.

Unfortunately for you government spending and the size of the government rose under Reagan.

https://theweek.com/articles/642128/...nment-spending

He entered office in 1981 insisting that government deficits were too high, that taxes had to be cut, that spending had to shrink. His inaugural address declared "government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." His 1988 farewell address reiterated that "man is not free unless government is limited." Name-checking Reagan and these commitments has pretty much been an entry requirement for politicians into the GOP ever since.

But as people have noted over the years, there's a tension between Reagan's rhetoric and what actually went down between his inaugural and farewell speeches. Both the national debt and the size of the federally employed workforce rose during Reagan's tenure. Government spending grew as a share of the economy, then returned to exactly where it was when Reagan started.

Or https://www.motherjones.com/politics...rnment-legacy/

These Charts Show How Ronald Reagan Actually Expanded the Federal Government

I really wish people would understand that government spending is mostly, Social Security, the Military, and Medicare and Medicaid.

Cutting government spending is extremely difficult and what doge is doing is extremely counterproductive to government efficiency.

Pretty much. Yet we fall for it throughout history. No end in site.

... No worrys there, mate.

... No doubt some private contractors will be used
to shoulder some o' the load from government job cuts.
