I grew up on a dairy farm in the Midwest. One of my duties was to muck out the stalls each day and load up the manure spreader.
Instead of a manure spreader being towed by a (farm) tractor, think about the eejut (as they say in Tejas) that throws a hand grenade into a literal pile of BS just to see how many people get splattered with bovine fecal material.
I hope that metaphor was graphically vivid enough. Just the same old, same old... someone with a needy personality throwing dung on everyone and screaming he's the "victim"....
