And the crying and outright lying about what's in the bill begins. Typical of the left to hate anything helping the middle class, the elderly, kids, actual working people....

No, I very much fancy any response you care to give. I was just trying to suggest you comment on the actual Bill, rather than my "prediction." You know far better than I that those are usually a waste of time and space.

And you have. A bit. Still pretty vague. Which is not totally unexpected. Still...

Here, lemme help. Please elaborate on the things that are in the bill that Americans voted for, that you mention above. The promises made, the ones kept...or not. And we can explore those in detail.

It will be fun!

If you are going to post in this thread, please post some facts.

Let's start with an easy one: TELL ME what I have said that is a LIE.

And spare us from more rants about how "the left" hates everything that is good and pure. We are all well aware of them. Redundancy will not be your friend.

But again....tell us ALL about my lies.

... Nope, you'll need to start another thread for that, mate.

We both wouldn't want to wander off-topic and get points.

So let's continue to celebrate the Biggest WIN being almost in!

Easy. Your total lies about "Medicaid cuts". Medicaid was for the elderly and low income. Not lazy, capable, working age people to mooch off others. People who actually qualify will NOT lose coverage. Now for your "adds trillions to the deficit" rant. The CBO didn't factor in revenue coming in. Remember this is the same outfit that claimed Obama are was "revenue neutral". And that's just the start. Cue another of your insult and personal attacks laden rants with no facts.

Finally! You post some actual...stuff.

Let’s get into it:

NONE of what I have posted is a lie. You are out of date. Medicaid was expanded long ago and is not the same program that it started as. It doesn’t matter what your “opinion” is about who should be covered now. They are changing the current law, and MILLIONS will now lose coverage. And a large portion of them will be people that DO actually qualify but have difficulty satisfying the bureaucratic nightmare that this bill will create.

Of course the CBO factored in revenue! You can’t calculate a fucking deficit without knowing both your revenue and your expenditures. Wow. If I had said that, you would say that... I lied!

They also factored in how changes in the economy that may result from the tax changes would affect their projections. None of it is good. The increased “debt services” costs alone are in the range of a half a billion dollars!

This information is all over, if you bother to look. The CBO itself. The Wall Street Journal. Fortune Magazine. Numerous tax policy NGO’s. Failing to do the research before you posted what you did is inexcusable.

And most of the information out there is remarkably consistent. Very little disagreement. It backs up what I say. And shows very clearly that nothing that I said was a lie.

Not a good one. I can see now why you don’t usually post things to try to back up your...opinions.

I don’t have to resort to either. The facts are enough. As I said, you make yourself look worse than I ever could.

But let's summarize:

You posted NO FACTS here. Not any correct ones, anyway.

One of your statements is an “opinion.” Sorry if you don’t like what Medicaid has become or who is currently covered. But that is irrelevant. And it doesn’t change the fact that 10+ Million people lose healthcare coverage.

And your other statement is….wrong. Blatantly. I won’t call it what you would.

Even though you say repeatedly that I am doing it...

Typical MAGA discourse.

Thanks, rooster, for separating fact from frenzy.

It weren't nuthin. Literally. Coulda done it drunk.

I've had enough of this "you're lying" and "this is a lie" stuff, though. Not putting up with it one damn bit going forward.

Back to the fun...

I invite more MAGA input. Really. Facts are preferred. But opinions are welcome, as long as it is clear that they are opinions. You will get the benefit of the doubt, of course.

Here's a li'l nugget to get you started: The BBB is going to kill a lot of funding for alternative energy. MY fear is that this relegates us to being a bit player in the future, vastly overpowered by China in technology and financial opportunities. What do y'all think? Really.

Exactly! To get to 50 votes, they first tried to convert Sen Paul from Kentucky. When that didn't work, they cut special deals with Sen Murkowski. For example (SNAP) aka "Food Stamps" funding wise will work differently in her state, Alaska.

She was the key to the whole thing. The dems need a no vote from four republicans. They got three from Sen Collins of Maine, Sen Paul of Kentucky and The Senator from North Carolina who will retire. Sen Murkowski would have been the 4th but she sold out.

Unless the House of Reps votes no the Trump Tax Cuts of 2017 for the one per cent will be permanent.

Oh look, another threat. Hahahahaha! You lied again. The only people "losing Medicaid coverage" are able bodied, working age people who weren't supposed to be getting it anyway. Medicaid is for the elderly and people with actual disabilities who can't work. That's not opinion, it's FACT no matter how much you whine about it. The CBO didn't factor in the increased revenue from tax cuts for EVERYONE, not just the 1% as you keep claiming. Next round of insults and threats....

The highlighted part gets dealt with separately. Not a threat.

Again...and this is so tiresome...

Your statements about Medicaid are not correct. They are completely wrong.

Here is the answer to the FAQ "Who qualifies for Medicaid?" on the official State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration:

"Medicaid is a medical assistance program that provides access to health care for low-income families and individuals. Medicaid also assists the elderly and people with disabilities with the costs of nursing facility care and other medical and long-term care expenses."

Before you say something else incorrect...like "that's a state program, not the federal program"...I will remind you that STATES administer the FEDERAL program.

Similarly, repeating your incorrect statements about the CBO does not make them true either.

The CBO factored in all revenue. And projected changes to it, based on adjustments to things such as SALT, etc. They even factored in things like reduction of the IRS budget, which will lead to fewer audits, less detection of fraud, etc. So did Forbes. WSJ. NYT.

Post a source for your claim that they did otherwise.

Here's a few of mine. Again, you could find dozens with just one simple search. But you don't bother.

CBO determines HR1 will add $2.8 Trillion to the deficit

Estimated Budgetary Effects of H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act

I'm going on record as asking the Mods to close this thread.

We'll see.

But since I created it, they might give me some accommodation here.

This has become nothing but a senseless back and forth. And I refuse to let anyone continually call me a liar without grounds to do so. The easiest way to stop it here is to close this down. I'll deal with it other places when it happens.

And even more threats. Here's more hahahahahah! Your own statement CONFIRMS what I said. The elderly and low income. NOT able bodied, healthy, able to work individuals. And the CBO is historically inaccurate. Again, they claimed Obama are was "revenue neutral". Oops. Now you want the thread closed because your lies are getting exposed.

It seems that our Liberal/Democrat friends are scared the President is actually going to do something about the fraud that permeates the Medicaid Bureaucracy.
