As to the argument that semi-automatic weapons weren't envisioned, did they envision smart phones and the internet in regards to the first amendment?

The point is that their weapons were for the most part on par with the British forces which is not true today.

Raise the age
Register and tax every firearm
Ban all semi autos high cap clips and speed loaders
Increase penalties for firearm crimes
That will help gun violence AND let citizens own firearms as the 2cd says.

An 18 year old can buy rifles and shotguns. That needs to change to 21.
There's too many guns. And too easy to obtain. Not saying law abiding citizens shouldn't own guns. I'm saying common sense gun laws will save lives! I've already posted how!
There's no reason citizens should own any kind of semi auto firearm.
Just like full autos are banned. Semis should be to. And do away with class 3 licenses and permits to own these weapons of war.
