for now it is unconstitutional
i don't have an issue with mail-in ballots as long as they are only sent to those who request it and with proper verification.
that's not voter suppression it's voter integrity
a resident alien tax id is not a right to vote

What Republicans need to do is engage in all of the ideas that the Democrats have perfected, mainly ballot harvesting, absentee voting, and early voting.

First of all Democrats want immigrants to be able to earn their citizenship and then, if they want to, they can vote or take any job a citizen is eligible for.
Yes, Trump is attempting to destroy our democracy and the rule of law. If you want to follow the law then you should urge your representatives to pass the border bill that Trump scuttled. Executive Actions only get you so far. New law is required for us to start to come to grips with our current situation.

Prove your claim. Who is trying to allow "the illegals" to vote in our federal election?
Again, it's horse shit and you knew it before you posted it.

... So YOU don't believe that Dems want illegals
to be able to vote?? ... They're already allowing them
to vote. ... If the illegals are voting in "their"
local elections - what's to prevent them from
voting in the Federal elections??

Feel free to share some references for these groups that have any splinter of a chance to actually enact any of those things sounds like interesting reading.
Back in the day I would direct people to the 398.2 section for such information

No they don't because if they did there would be a system in place that is easy for immigrants to comprehend and for the country to implement. All these people do is talk and complain and pass the buck. In the meantime thousands of people are entering this country every month without any rhyme or reason.

You mean like non citizen becoming Police Officers. The Governor of Illinois thinks it's a pretty good idea.

You just made my point. DACA and DAPA are executive actions implemented under democratic presidents. There is a limit of what executive actions can do. DAPA was ended by a Ken Paxton lawsuit and DACA was terminated by Trump only to be restored by the supreme court.
The problem is that the republicans don’t want to grant any form of amnesty, not even for english speaking college educated workers who were brought here as children. We need these immigrants both for jobs and our military. Maybe we should stop vilifying these people and start educating them about being good citizens.

This is why Pressler should be RNC chair. He’s all about beating them at their own game, harvesting ballots from gun shows, county fairs, grocery store checkouts, anywhere normal people go.

Trump has no position in government or the ability to scuttle anything.
When he did have a position of power he was able to control the border. Biden blew up rational, effective border policy his first day in office and could easily reverse his actions. He won’t, because he doesn’t want to. Democrats are only now, because it’s an election year, pretending to want to solve the problem and attempting to shift blame for the mess they’ve created.

Normal ppl, --the RNC beating "THEM" at their own game?
Is the "THEM" the left/ socialist, Democrats?? What makes you think that the places ppl go, listed above, are either normal or ab-normal. I'm sure a great % of american's have gone to ALL those places too! Guns are owned by everyone in Merica-
I'm a big proponent of getting out the vote. If you are legally eligible, you absolutely SHOULD vote.- I'd even go as far as to call for a national holiday for voting if it meant MORE votes.
Regardless of party or affiliation. Voting should be another required obligation just like paying taxes; requiring employers to ensure employees are not being forced to work in order to NOT VOTE.

Where do you get the idea the left is trying to let non-residents vote?

well, minus the facts of the MPP, or remain in mexico. The EO written by the Trump administration isn't bad in itself. It's bad in that it doesn't offer a way to fully fund the requirements of that policy:
https://www.npr.org/sections/preside...-mexico-policy
A major criticism of the Remain in Mexico program was that even the Trump administration could not meet the demands of its own policy. The reason is that Congress has never allocated enough money to detain all of the asylum claimants.
In fact, no administration has been able to comply with this aspect of federal immigration law since it took effect in 1996.
The Biden administration has a new plan which would delegate asylum claims to specially trained customs and border control officers instead of to the immigration courts, where there are already 400,000 pending cases.
When you are following FOX talking points, they fail to mention that part about EO's and funding. Just cause you make something an action, you still have to fund those activities, and that was what was being tried in the past weeks with the latest bill that failure- Mike "Bible Boy" Johnson decided to scuttle on the house floor.
Trump told him " No- and there shouldn't be a win for the congress -insert-(American population) when the election is close at hand, and Biden could say he signed into law," but here we are- kicking the can down the proverbial road. It's all politics and nothing about funding.
It is part two of THE GOP Jump the SHARK saga.
In part one- instead of hunting a man eating shark like in Jaws, Quint dies of old age at a retirement home.
The part II is Immigration reform and border funding- Just like the vote on Repeal and Replace- where John McCain thumbed that fucking thing down- cause it had nothing to replace it with, the GOP is thumbing it down, cause it's a political win for the Border and UKRAINE.- yet it was created largely by the GOP's own ppl and included funding tied to UKRAINE which they wanted!! Two swings, two YUGE misses and nobody is surprised at all. Why- cause it's the GOP's way of doing things, by not doing ANYTHING at all. EVER.
These fuckers cannot get one damn thing right- They cannot even get a house intel meeting to agree on the facts or lack there of.

It’s pretty obvious that Trump is the leader of the party. The party is involved in government. Therefore Trump has power in government.
Democrats are not “pretending” to want to solve the problem. They made a good faith effort to solve the problem by working across the aisle with the sane republicans still in office. Unfortunately Trump made some phone calls to Mike Johnson and a few others letting them know that he wanted to run on the immigration issue. That’s why congress voted against it. Because they want to fight instead of govern.

Immigration isn't being handled properly. Blaming Trump is too easy, it's much more complicated than that.
