You know, there's a purpose to almost everything in Life, even if sometimes it isn't readily apparent. Maybe this is why the hair was put on guys' faces in the first place? Makes sense, right?

People used to say that it was there to insulate against the cold northern European winters, but the women up there didn't have facial hair, and it gets really cold elsewhere in the World and not all those people have it, either.

I'm thinking that you're onto something with this.
