It's not what you say.....it's how you say it (unless the press gets hold and twists it)

90% of Trump's appeal was that he was saying what a lot of people were thinking. Step back for a moment and think deeply about that. Then use that information however you'd like.

I agree.
However, I seriously doubt that he ever spoke for the MAJORITY of the American people.
Dividing the U.S. and accomplishing very little, did not impress me.
I'm pretty sure we were/are worse off after Trump.

Dividing the people? Like sending your AG out to vilify tens of millions of people, accusing them of being domestic terrorists because they believe a country should have borders, a trans woman is a guy with his dick cut off, and they pay too much in taxes?
We can only hope that these new morons can be smart enough to start doing nothing. 300k to build a birdhouse, $150 to fill up your car, and gulags for political opposition is a hell of a lot worse than the status quo.

country was divided when Obama came in. Trump was a result of the Tea Party Movement that sprung up after the 2008 election because conservatives were sick of NeoCons. Progressivism is a result of establishment dems becoming too centrist and picking up the NeoCon's Trotskyist tactics.

I hope you're joking!
Progressive politics started during the Great Depression (probably long before that).
"NeoCon's Trotskyist tactics"?? Is that different than using the filibuster, when you are the minority party?
Face it...we are all in this together. If you just point fingers, and claim the other side is at fault, you'll never see the end of this "us vs. them" politics.

I'm talking about modern progressive movement that gained traction as a result of Occupy Wall Street and dems waking up to the idea that centrist dems were too conservative for their liking.
The neocon trotskyist tactics I'm referring to is supporting outsourcing, imperialistic attitudes towards foreign countries, and the move to trying to be both the police officer and moral authority in the world.
Balkanization would be the best thing for now

Really? You think it's better, that smaller groups look after their own self interests, rather than pull together toward a common goal?

Well yeah, because there aren't any common goals. California shouldn't be dictating to the rest of the union how to do things. Cities shouldn't be dictating to rural areas how to do things.
Empires die when they get too big. They become difficult to manage. All political ideations operate in a cycle: anarchy isn't a way to do things, it's just a fugue state until you break into tribalism and then warlords. There have been regional cultural differences in this country since its inception, and we've again reached a point where some regions are trying to dictate how other regions operate. The last time we did that, we had a civil war. I'd prefer to balkanize than to do that.

Trump insulted people with class and the Left can't handle it because they have no class, lol.

Most people are sick and tired of the required political correctness. When you are President you don't have to be as politically correct. However when that is your main redeeming quality, you end up as a 1 term president.
