lol Ditka's way too old now but i recall he did consider running for office after he was no longer a coach and given his Chitown good will for gettin' da Bears another title he had some capital to make a serious run.

i recall Ditka considering running for Major or state Senator and U.S. Senator at times over the years.

Yeah, Ditka grew up in Pgh when steel was still king and Alliquippa was rocking as a steel community. Now, it looks like a third world country. Damn shame. But their football team still wins state championships.
