The problem is.......no one else has a solution to the gun violence....which is a problem in itself.
"If we outlaw guns, the only thing we will have to fear....is guns themselves."

Because there is no solution other than mind control. Violence and Life go hand in hand. Life itself cannot exist without violence.
I think it's better to give people a fair shot at levelling the playing field than going full-on "survival of the fittest"

Which of course is your right to be un-informed.

HF, so if I don't listen to Tucker Carlson I am misinformed? Ummmm, we'll have to agree to disagree about that subjective nonlogical reasoning. LOL
Look, I don't listen to these talking heads whether they are left or right. I watch the news for the news. I don't watch the news to listen to a talking head talk about their opinion to push their own outlandish agenda to raise their viewership for ratings so they can get paid more on their next contract. Maybe that's just me though.

And how would you know what was being said, if you didn't listen? You are making an assumption based on bias. You have made it perfectly clear that everything from everyone on Fox News is a liar but of course you don't watch Fox News and come to this opinion based on what exactly?
The reason you might have been interested in who this guy is that Biden made head of the ATF is because of your stated interest in keeping your guns and I believe you have said on more than one occasion that if a government agent comes to your door to confiscate your guns, you will shoot them which will leave you either dead or in jail for perhaps the rest of your life.
This guy, along with Biden and his cronies, just might be putting together the plan to confiscate those guns you have. I would think that a reasonably intelligent person/ gun advocate, would be interested in this topic of gun control and just might be interested in knowing who the head of the ATF is but I guess I was wrong.
And yes, in this particular case, if you didn't hear this piece from Carlson, you probably don't know the first thing about the new head of the ATF like the fact that he has told multiple, verifiable lies like the Branch Dividians at Waco, shot down an ATF helicopter. That was a lie and this is the guy picked to head the ATF! He is a believer in confiscating guns.
If you didn't know that, than yes, you are un-informed about who this man is and how he just might affect your life.
I do wonder though how you came to believe that every single thing Tucker Carlson says is either a lie or just not worth your interest. How often have you watched Tucker Carlson before you came to that conclusion?
Tonight was another very good example of what one might learn watching Tucker Carlson that I can guarantee you, you will not hear from anybody else in media. Was it an important story? I think so considering everything going on right now about the power of High Tech. to not only censor but to mess with people's lives including those of us on this board possibly.
Here is the story. You decide whether it is worth knowing.
AOC is interviewed on peace in the Middle East and how it might be achieved. Yeah, I know, a 31 year old bartender with her extensive knowledge of Geo-politics as it relates to the Middle East. Go figure.
So she is completely out of her depth and is fumbling, mumbling, trying to say anything relevant and the best this Progressive Lioness of the House, this defender of the oppressed can come up with is that we have to respect the rights of both the Israeli's and the Palestinians.
Well, a guy with the handle of "Human Rights Watcher", heard the interview and posted on Twitter, that "her response was incredibly under whelming to say the least". He wanted the defender of the oppressed to come down hard on the Israeli's and AOC disappointed him.
Here is were the story gets really interesting although it just occurred to me that with your short attention span that you have spoken of often, you'll probably never get this far in the story. Oh, well, for those of you who do have an interest in being informed of what is happening in our government, in this brave new world of Social Media, the California State Police show up at this guys door a week later to question him about making death threats to a sitting Congress woman.
Seems the Capital Police called the California State Police and asked them to investigate the death threat. Of course there was no death threat but the State Police didn't seem interested in hearing his side of the story but of course since they had no evidence, they couldn't arrest him, just scare the crap out of him.
What was further interesting, is how did the Capital police get his personal info since his name was not used in his Twitter response. Looks like Twitter may have turned him in with either a request/ pressure from AOC or the Capital Police.
You see, you can not disagree with anything AOC says because AOC considers that "violence". If you disagree with her in public, hordes may descend on her so you can not criticize AOC. Seems earlier AOC's staff had sent out a request to all 12 million AOC followers to report anybody disagreeing with AOC because she considered that an act of violence against her.
So, what if those of us on this board who have spoken ill of AOC were reported to the Capital Police and we found them knocking at our door and saying "we were told you made death threats to a sitting member of Congress". Would that be something you might be interested in knowing about but no other media but Tucker Carlson will tell you that story?
Who am I kidding, probably not.

No one else has a solution to gun violence? Really? How about a law that says "commit a felony with a gun and you get 20 years". Fire that gun, you get life. Kill somebody in the commission of a felony and you get the death sentence. The sad fact of the matter, is that we know who 85% ( an informed guess )of the people are who commit gun violence because we lock them up, over and over and over again. Problem right now in the age of wokeness is, we would be incarcerating thousands of Black and Brown males and this administration, Democrats aren't about to do this. Their "solution" of disarming law abiding people sure as hell isn't going to solve this problem. Yes, White men also commit violent crime but at a percentage of the population, less than Black and Brown.
Of course we would have to change the standards on evidence. No single person ID should ever be the sole evidence to give somebody the death penalty. The evidence would have to be overwhelming and un-questionable like the guy was caught at the scene with the gun not two weeks later on the word of one person only.
Hell yes there is a solution to this problem, we just don't want to face it and by we, I mean Democrats.
Right now with all this talk about gun control, getting guns out of the hands of criminals, the new "woke" have decided that the prosecution of persons of color, is discriminatory and must stop in Washington DC and other cities. Banning AR-15's, bump stocks and "ghost guns" and back ground checks won't stop a single shooting in Chicago and all the other Democrat run cities but they can't, won't solve that problem so they have to go after the "straw man".

HF, I am not reading your long winded post, but I did read the 1st paragraph. I am not sure what part of I don't listen to talking heads that you don't get. Just show me the news in an objective manner and I'll form my own opinion. I don't need to listen to a talking head to get their biased opinions whether they are left or right. Again, if you don't understand that, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
I'm not telling you not to watch FOX. Why would I even care? I'm just telling you my viewpoint on the news. It's all relative what people enjoy watching. Just watch what you want. I thought that was the point of having a TV and a remote. It's not that serious.

More importantly, A lot of people who commit mass shootings know the consequences and just don't care. The vast majority of them don't plan on being taken alive. How do you punish that effectively that it curbs the behavior?

You can't control rabid dogs. There is no point trying to do so. You put them down. It's that simple. If one doesn't know right from wrong as far as taking innocent lives, they don't deserve to take another breath and let the innocent others breathe freely. IMO.

So, it's ok with you if police kill a suspect involved in an activity that can cause death .... or do you want the police to wait until they actually kill someone before the police kill them?
I guess you don't want the LOONATICKS for whom you voted last year to come after your "military-style" firearms. Was a "background" check done on you each time you ACQUIRED one?

Lucas actually said something truthful yesterday. Sort of. He said he didn’t go to class, he just watched TV. I believe that because he was never admitted to a University of any kind.
