Default Maybe psychology just ain't your bag baby

Keep your day job, even if it's just part time, if you can. Sitting on your voting hand endorses the more evil choice, by default.

Can you imagine what kind of world we could have where instead of voting for the least bad.. we could vote for the better of two great candidates?

Grace - I agree - our political parties have sunk so low in the calibre of their leadership nominated - I am completely disgusted with both parties.

2016 I voted Libertarian in protest - knowing my vote was worthless.

This time - Hold my nose and vote Trump - because the alternative is the DPST's will wreak Venezuela on America.

That's not drivel.. that's just stating fact. Neither party is pressed to figure it all out unless the donor class is worried. I'm not concerned about it-- I'm fine financially and don't need another check (first check just went towards paying down debt). I'm perfectly happy with the markets going up.. as is my Roth. If the markets were tanking as they were back in March/April then the likelihood of one side or another taking a shit deal would go up exponentially. If you don't believe that-- you're a fucking fool.
If you used the stimulus check to pay down debt you’re not fine financially. Debt is for dummies. You shouldn’t be putting money into a Roth unless it’s return is higher than the debt interest which, unless it’s a mortgage, it isn’t.

You're forgetting student loans..... the rates on those are also typically lower than most Roth returns. My student loan is the last of my debt and will be paid off by July of next year. Vehicles are paid off.... house is owned, free and clear. I've been steamrolling the fuck out of my student loan this year.... so yeah-- an extra check, is more towards the principal on a loan where the gub'mint gave us a few months of no interest

Both choices are evil. I frankly don't care as to what degree.

My day job is quite secure, thankfully-- can't say enough good things about having great benefits

Default Remember ye olde adage

You can always vote Socialism in (and are if not voting Trump 2020), but you always have to shoot your way out of it.

Thanks. Intention-- assuming the world doesn't implode-- is to start investing in some rental properties here in a couple years. Wanted to eliminate my debt load first.

Give me a Republican candidate that isn't a flaming Shitgibbon.. and I'll vote for them. Until then-- I'm not voting for your shitberg candidate of choice. I undervoted in 2016 for the same reason... I would have happily voted for a couple of the Republicans running in 2016.. but not Trump.

Btw grace it's a well known fact that you don't vote for someone unless it's Bill or Obama second term. You vote against the bigger idiot/lier silly butt. I vote for clean air these days while you, I guess, have no kids or grandkids that have to live in this world for many years. I'm guessing you have some kind of "energy" background. My stocks really have no bearing

I have kids and grandkids, actually-- I'm just not dumb enough to think that Biden is going to be much of an impact based on his history. And no-- no "energy" background... my Roth matters-- because that's how I ensure I'm able to be a grandmother when I'm 60.. rather than having to worry about whether or not I'm going to have to eat catfood while I work my part time job at Walmart once Social Security is gutted for good (Trump wants it gone.. and Biden has voted four separate times to lower it-- we're hosed in both directions).

Attempts to shame from either side are laughable. Your candidates are both large turd sandwiches... enjoy the feast. The craziest part of all this to me... is that a lifetime Democrat is the Republican.. and a borderline Republican (check his voting history) is the Democrat. Can't make this shit up.

I took early retirement last year and live ok and still have some play money . I just wish I had a night time stocking job at the local target. I'm so damn bored but kinda afraid/cautious to work. I still vote for clean air though. And that will never be trump

I did too. Gary Johnson was far and away the best candidate. He was a two term Republican governor in New Mexico, a blue state, and had bipartisan support while in office. He did an excellent job as governor.

Your vote was not wasted any more than if you had voted for a major party candidate. What were the chances of your vote actually making a difference, of it being the difference between a victory or a defeat for Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton? A lot lower than winning the lottery. Send the bastards a message, vote Libertarian.

And Tsmokies, while I don't agree with your priorities, perhaps a vote for the Green Party candidate would make more sense than for the Democrat.

If he would run as a Republican he may have a chance or if they allow a third party candidate to participate in the debates. Basically America as we know it is finished. The majority of the people have no more power. The Government isn't afraid of the people it needs to be the other way around. Until then we'll just get more of the same bullshit.
