Where your Lakers really screwed up was not realizing this and going after Jimmy Butler to play the 2 or even Derrick Rose as a 1. Lebron James’ mental toughness would have finally cured Derrick Rose’s headcase issues I feel. Derrick was once touted as the best point guard in the league.

I get the Lebron on the offensive side as a PG. On defense? Fuck no! He's too old to be chasing the Houston and Portland guards around screens. At his age, he's not running around for defense anymore. Kobe did the same thing when he aged and said fuck defense - I'm saving my energy for offense. Lebron is doing the same.
As far as D Rose, fuck him. you can't count on him for more than 50 games. He'll sit out a month for a paper cut to his thumb on his non shooting hand. The Pistons got him on the cheap for a reason.

Westbrook is owed a ton of money on that contract. He's never won and his style of play is divisive because he is so ball dominant. The Lakers won't touch that and they could not do so even if they wanted to. Having said that, I love that dude's heart. He's as tough as they get and then some.

I agree. That's a very impressive young group to build upon and Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league.
Now this has turned into a productive NBA thread!!!!
