I agree with the other posters Barbie. Tell your story and be heard and let the other ladies know who did this to you. We realize that ladies that speak up and defend themselfs on here can pay a price for doing that from guys that you won't want too see anyway. We also know that there are a lot of men on here that prey on ladies, especially the new ones, and they need to be called out in this public forum. Hopefully, you ladies are already sharing that info in the ladies area. Hang in they girl...we are not all bad men on here.

It’s acdelicate line. I think women with enough good reviews can ignore characters like that. But I do see the advantage of standing up to a bully.

The problems with some of the threads where women “fight back” and don’t fare well could probably be analyzed and put into categories if someone had the time and inclination to collect them. But my guess is that most can be explained by a few dynamics.

First, of course, is where the merits of the dispute are not on the gal’s side. To win an argument, it helps to be right.

A second problem I see is that often the person who writes well, and communicates most clearly, has an advantage. That person isn’t necessarily the person with the stronger argument.

Finally, I think a dispassionate communication style (or at most, one that is mildly adversarial) works best when you are disputing facts. Emotions, especially extreme ones, tend to works against you. So if either the hobbyist or the provider are still pissed if, they lose a rhetorical edge.

All grist fot the mill. But if you think you are ok on these three factors, and perhaps some I’m overlooking, I’d very much like to see anyone, make or female, who abuses their position on call to account.

Some put way too much stock in "eccie-cred" and this site's influence. There are other sites and other ways of doing business.

However, that being said, if a lady relies only on this site for advertising and reputation then she is inviting the bullies to threaten her.

Due to the enforcement of the guidelines equally to all members, a few of those that did the trolling and cyberbullying have stopped, but most of them have either gone absentee, on the verge of being banned on points or are banned on points.

But, the ones that do it through email or other means outside of the scope of this site, still do it and will continue. Since you cannot post private communication, then there is no way of proving who the culprit(s) may be, and unless they are not very smart, most do it through a means by which it cannot traced back to them. However, if a guy is blackmailing a provider for free or discounted services, then eventually, he will be found out.
