How about have one appt at "regular" rate and get an extra half-hour on the next appt?

I'm just an LMT not an escort, but I agree with Kayla in that once you offer a special, the client then expects to pay that rate every time. Also, as Ryan said, it opens the door to haggling which is just plain insulting to me.

I ran a special once and all it did was bring in bottom-feeder clients who tried to haggle for even more discounts AND wanted services way above and beyond what I do. It felt to me like several of them purposely sought out a special then wanted to see just how much more they could hassle me for. On top of that, almost none of them tipped.

After that discouraging experience, I no longer offer specials and my clientele has not only increased, but is of a higher caliber as well.

I don't do specials, unless they are a regular thing like Marla's BnG Tuesdays and Thursdays. That way, both provider and client expectations are set. It seems to me that offering the occasional special hints of desperation and the quality of service is suspect and unpredictable.
