Cancellation fee
I don’t like weighing in to he said/she said debates when I’m not privy to all of the pertinent details, but you should have known or thought about a potential cancellation fee. Nearly every professional service provider will charge for canceling with less than 24 hours notice. Dentist, doctors, attorneys, hair stylists, etc. I realize things happen and a last minute meeting, but that’s not the fault of the service provider and some knowledge and respect could have prevented all of this drama. Hope you both have a better day and an even better tomorrow! Peace

Gia years ago (back in the escort.com days) your communication with me was professional and pleasant. I have never seen you though. Now what was exchanged between you two undoubtedly angered you. He at least kept it calm in his posts in the review section and made statements. You on the other had lost control of your temper and insulted him here. You could have easily got your point across as simply stating "He is fighting me concerning my cancellation policy listed on my website. Judge for yourself and I will let my reviews speak for me." In my opinion you would have came out looking better than you do now.
jrtitle, if what you say is true, quit feeding into her anger. Shut up, send the screen caps of your texts to the moderators. If as bad as you say the mods will ban her and that result will inform all of us their judgement. Your continuation only hurts your chances with other providers.
On the subject of cancellations fees, I feel good providers need to take a more pro-active role with their fellow providers to make the policy a good one. How often do us guys get no called no show? How often is the provider actually on time? For me even with providers I have seen multiple times they are rarely on time and get taken off my rotation as soon as I get NCNS.

Before anyone posts something they may regret in the future.
Just know providers read your posts and talk to each other.
So don't ruin your chances in the future for an appointment by shit posting if you plan on wanting an appointment in the future with any other girl.
Just food for thought if you post shit talking it could potentially be a reason why you can't get an appointment with a provider in the future.

1st of all I don't intend on getting in a war of words or name calling etc.
I'm just saying that I would find it hard to believe that about Gia! I have no idea or care how she got your RW info and what ever. If you never had a session with her before etc. But I from what I know or her all this non sense would be out of character for her! No one here wants to bring trouble is this life (that I'm aware of anyway).
I call bull on you title!

If a provider has a cancellation policy then it should work both ways. If I cancel that's fine, I can pay up for waisting your time slot if it's clearly listed in the ad. However if a provider has that policy it should work both ways as a guarantee to not waste my time as well and if they cancel, they should pay me that stated cancellation policy fee as my time is just as valuable as theirs and they have assigned a dollar amount to it. I have cancelled before and been cancelled on, last minute stuff comes up. Such is life.
Respect each other's time equally but if you want to hold people to a standard with a consequence, you should also hold yourself to the same standard.
Also if it's true, even the hint of blackmail is a low blow. Blacklisting someone from ever seeing Gia again should be punishment enough.

If something happens where a client cannot make an appointment and has to cancel because things do happen not just to clients but also providers, have the cancellation fee
but offer if a client pays the fee they get credit for a future session and if provider cancels the client gets a reduced or credit for a future session. This way no hard feelings.
We all want repeat business and trust who we see and this to me seems like a good compromise. Negative comments benefit no one.

I've seen a provider with a similar cancellation policy where you pay the fee, but it is credited towards the next appointment.
I have also had a situation with that same provider where I had the credit and had an extended appointment to use it scheduled with her. As real life had caused me to pay a cancellation fee as I'd always does right by this provider. As it sometimes happens, real life happened to her and she refunded me the cancellation fee because (paraphrasing) "it's the right thing to do".
I rarely cancel, but real life does occur, but when I do in the majority of the situations I am cancelling I am also rescheduling at that same moment.
I'd rather not pay the fee (when necessary), but when the reasoning is fully explained I am willing to do so for a provider I enjoy the company of and usually have a history of frequent visits with both here and on the road.
This is a business for most of these ladies anyway, whether it's their primary business or a side gig. They have the right to run this aspect of their life as a business and therefore can have written policies available for reference reflecting their rules and regulations. Any other policies are not to be discussed at this time as we are discussing cancellation policies and only the things directly related to cancellation policies like refunds.
So, yes guys there are ladies out there who will refund you if you are considered paid in advance (it might help if you happen to have an extended session booked too, but I know this provider well and I believe in discretion when it comes to both of our private lives, but she repaid me in person and you can't fake the look on her face, so I wished her well and let her get back to dealing with her personal life that she had to cancel our appointment for and didn't even think about asking questions as it was obviously both a private matter and a serious matter) and they are the ones to cancel on you.
I know some of you think this is rare, but most ladies would rather do the right thing than keep rolling over advanced payment for a cancellation towards the next appointment if and only if the lady is the one to cancel the appointment that cancellation fee was meant to cover.
It happens and just like YMMV, cancellation policies will vary as well.
There's more to this story and the few times I've seen Gia or had the time to try to schedule her I've never had an issue and have always left with a smile on my face.
Anyway, that's my two cents or wooden nickel. So take it for what you will.

One thing to remember is that most decent rooms have a 24 hr cancellation policy, so while it doesn't always happen, if you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, the provider is stuck with roughly a $100 room charge Often they have more than one appointment scheduled, but if too many cancel last minute, it does cause a financial loss for the provider.

I'm fairly new to the hobby. Are cancellation fees common?
I have only been required to cancel once. There was snow that morning and school was canceled and I had to stay home to look after my daughter. I did reschedule (though she blew me off for that appointment - I didn't even get a bullshit excuse, just silence).
If someone wants to comment on the broader situation, while I have had to cancel once, I have had at least three times when a provider didn't keep the appointment without advanced notice. "I overslept". Is it typical to offer discounts in this situation? One of them did offer a discount, but I was unable to make a later time that day. The others did not.

A somewhat gratuitous comment.
For many of us using the phrase "fake news" does not inspire confidence in the speaker. In fact it does the opposite.
