Every aspect of the hobby cycles around: questions/ISO's, providers, hobbyists, coed topics, sex, lies & videotape.

I realize I'm overly sentimental about communities for many reasons - personal & professional. Sometimes, when it seems there's a lot of meanness or rumors gone rampant w/out proof or he said/she said drama, etc... It's difficult to turn the other cheek immediately. I tend to be someone who tries to make a difference & hopefully, mend fences. I've long been known to call it like I see it whether I let my mouth overload my ass or not.
I was certainly one of the more prolific posters in the aspd days as I felt a strong sense of community there. There were more regular posters who were people I knew from socials or as clients, so I felt comfortable speaking my mind. Feedback from people was generally good so I felt confident in continuing that same manner when we migrated here.
There are some familiar faces & as always, plenty of new blood to keep things fresh. IF you've been around a while, it's less interesting to respond to the latest repeat round of newbie questions year after year, although I'll certainly chime in if something is missed that I'd like to add to the discussion. Participation is sometimes determined by quality content. I appreciate those who bring fresh topics to the boards. I find it's harder for me lately to start threads that really get people stirred up & sharing thoughts. *sigh* I hope this isn't what I have to look f/w to as I try to tap into my songwriting muse again. Ugh...
Not intending to be a whiner, though it may seem that way thus far in my post. I am rambling as usual. LOL
Honestly, there are so many new people, I can't keep up w/ who's who! A core group has always been evident on any board. It's the attitudes and the perspectives that change - and not solely as a result of who's posting what here. This is merely a microcosm of the world around us. With more struggles off the board, there are more ON the board. This world is not as high on some of our priority lists as it is for others, but we all have something vested in its' continuance if we intend to participate in its' fruits.
There are times we agree to disagree... put it behind us & move on... expose truths to end controversy... or drop it like it's hot when there's no resolution in sight. Yes, we're all adults, but we're also human. Feelings get hurt easier if you've had a bad day or a personal issue weighing on your mind. Everyone has something to be happy, sad, angry, joyous, ambivalent, apathetic, horny or satisified about at some time.
Thanks for the post, Sixx-T-9er.

I'll keep being a fiery redhead whether the focus is speaking up or going down. *much prefer the latter... *
