That's one of the things I have wondered about. If shit hits the fan, it would be nice to have someone to call that you know you could depend on at the moment and they would not feel the need to lecture you about your choice.

That would be my main worry. I know most men are married so how would one ensure that his SO never finds out if he discusses this with his buddies.

I agree. Just about everyone knows what I do. I simply don't care what others think. I tell close friends. I tell strangers. I tell people in my car clubs. I love my job. It's impossible for me to be mad or ashamed about a job/industry that has been so good to me.
