It's not being disrespectful to you at all. Unless one has the mindset in which the risks are acceptable, then one ought not to venture into those situations in which that result can be an option. I doubt seriously when they wake up in the morning they dwell on the subject, but it's a reality and my guess is they all look forward to coming "home" (wherever that may be "today") with a clean suit without any holes in it. But in the scheme of things the POTUS is more important than the agent.

No doubt any type of security job has it's risks and agents are risking their lives to some extent just being in proximity to a client. My statement was based on common sense. It's obvious the agent's statement was made out of dissent for Trump.

I haven't a clue as to what her "motivation" may have been, but she took an oath when she accepted the position for which she applied and was trained ... just like those Agents with whom she must work as long as she is in the Service.
The short version is: She fucked up if she wants to remain an Agent.

Your choice to decide what your own personal priorities are.
However, with your gratuitous "You would have to be an idiot to do that " part you have just insulted a whole lot of military folks. Neither the SS nor the military want to get in that spot, and their real job in both cases is to prevent that necessity from happening, but if it does, that's what they signed up for. Ditto for many LE, firefighters (not a bullet, but flames are just as bad if you are running into the building to rescue someone).
So do you really believe what you said, that essentially every medal of honor winner is an idiot?
Having said that, yes, she should not have said what she did and should be removed. But as has been stated, depending how the job description is written, that may be easier said than done. If it is well written, it is indeed possible.

She almost has to be "transferred" depending upon her current assignment ... and put inside on a desk ... and irrespective of any "job description" her expressed mental attitude would justify "observation" and "counseling" ... at a minimum. Not many Agents will be quiet if she is assigned to serve with them ... and putting them (or her) in that situation is wrong!

I understand your post, so why wouldn't OT?
Paraphrase: You wouldn't take a bullet for anyone, and you would be an idiot for doing so ....
... am I even close?
And I'm not ragging on you about it ... that's your attitude. FYI: I personally have never "expected" anyone else to "take a bullet for me" in any situation ... and as a "practical matter" most people don't really know how they would react in that split second in which one must make that decision....furthermore, there is about a 99% chance the Agent would have some level of body armor on in the confrontation....so depending upon the weapon being fired it would hurt like a MF and probably knock them down and knock their breath out statistically they would probably survive....although unpleasant.

A Secret Service Agent, who can't keep a personal opinion Secret, doesn't know the the meaning of Service, and is only an Agent of dissension. Yeah, right.
FAIL, you're fired!
Quit accepting taxpayers' money for a job where you can't be counted on to perform as you swore to do. Whether it be for political view or not, this agent needs to go. She can go stick her nose up Oblama's or Killary's assholes on her own fucking dime.

It isn't about Trump. The Hatch prohibits most federal employees from enagging in political activities to include publicly endorsing a candidate. In 2012, Obama signed an ammendment to the act to allow for the removal of the employee for violation of the act.
O'Grady endorsed Hillary. This is in violation of the Hatch Act. Presidential protection is a duty of the SS and it is irrelevant which candidate she supports. It is her duty, not her choice.
O'Grady also stated that she would rather do jail time. Well, that can be arranged.
(She will probably be lightly disciplined and resign with a pension or be reassigned to another agency with a promotion. Fuck up, move up.)
