Considering the source on this asinine comment, why would you want to come to Austin?? "Chubby-Old...." LOl coming from him, that's truly hilarious!!

You could jump on the if-Trump-becomes-president-I'll-move-to-Canada/Mexico bandwagon.

Actually, Austin can be a fun place to visit, to enjoy (depending on what you like to enjoy outside the hobby) and maybe, even a good place to live, depending on your tastes in living accommodation, traffic and entertainment.
All a matter of being able to earn enough to live on and being able to maintain a decent budget and fiscal spending habits.
That said, yes, sometimes the grass -- no, not that kinda grass, is greener on the other side of the fence.
Austin has multiple attributes (food, entertainment high tech jobs, educational and artisanal) and multiple detractions and distractions (traffic, more traffic, the bi-ennial LEGE) crowded, expensive hotel rooms (seasonal) and etc.
Traffic is manageable if you do some planning ahead and allotting enough time to get where you are going. But ya never know which route north or south is gonna kick yer butt!
Meanwhile, do your research!
Visit first wherever you think you may want to settle in; ask the chamber of commerce or visitors bureau for info.
Best of luck in the searching process!!!

Well thank you; for your input everyone. Maybe a visit would be a good idea. I know my brother loves living in Austin. I will definitely have to do some heavy thinking. I always value other people's input. Thank you, Austin. It looks like Dallas has a much warmer welcome, for now. After all currently living in San Antonio a visit to Austin would be easy.

There is always room for another mature provider. Austin is just like any other place it will be what you make. You do have the luxury of family here so pay Austin a visit check it out and see if it fits your needs. Like all have said it is no bs about the traffic, rents and general expenses.

But 'San Antonio Ellen' doesn't have the same ring to it!

San Antonio has a lower cost of living making it easier for lesser performing whores to pay their rent.

I've lived all over the country and Austin is by far the best and coolest town miles above the rest.
•People are down to earth and friendly. Nobody gives a shit about who you know, where you went to school or what you drive.
• The ONLY town in Texas that is truly fitness conscious.
•Tons of breathtaking rolling hills and greenery.
•Endless hike and bike trails.
•Boundless opportunity for those who are creative and ambitious. There is so much money here that entrepreneurs easily excel if self driven.
The list goes on.
Resourceful people will kick ass wherever they live. The only people who fail in Austin are those who either try to fail or who fail EVERYWHERE they go.
When you've lived in Los Angeles, DC and New York, Austin traffic is nothing.
The Only negative I can see is the summer heat.

Austin is prices similar to Cali now. Not saying that Austin isn't fucking awesome but you could live nearby and still benefit from all that Austin offers but have lower cost of living. But Austin is hobby central also and a good provider will be blessed with abundance and prosperity. You can still live very well.

Oh no, Austin is Fetish central. If you are fetish friendly you will prosper in Austin or Houston i've found in my experience.
