Be very careful! I took Caroline's advice and tried the Venus razor... it got close alright... too close! I was so irritated that I ended up going to both my dermatologist and urologist for help! Let me tell you that this is not the kind of throbbing cock that you want! Just be careful, and shaving is not recommended for diabetics (according to health care professionals)... see if trimming helps the unruly and truly objectionable stuff!

I use laser and won't go back to anything else. It hurt like hell and for about a week you will look like someone burned you with a cigarette lol.

I would just use clippers seriously.

On my first attempt to go hairless, I used Veet, application time 3+ minutes and overall had decent results for the chest, arms, back and legs, with a few missed hairs left over. For the nether region I purchased an inexpensive wet/dry shaver one that nicked skin and pulled the hair and ended up in the trash. Now, I used a wet/dry shaver Panasonic ES8109S Vortex Wet/Dry Shaver and so far I am pleased with the results.

The second attempt, I tried VEET again and increase the application time to 4+ minutes. This was too much time and I ended up with irritated skin. A cold shower helped relieve the irritation along with a body lotion right out the shower, I didn't dry off, and kept the house cool to minimize the discomfort. It took a good day before the irritation was minimal.

Tried VEET a third time after about seven days and the irritation was worse and the recovery time longer. For some reason I thought I might be able to build up a tolerance to the irritation, nada.

Trimming works well as well as a triple blade razors but it takes a lot of time.

Finally I said fuck it, I'm going for waxing. The first visit, I started out with just the my back expecting an experience similar to the ones you see in the movies. Personally I felt a slight sting each time they rip the hair out but the overall experience for me was acceptable. Waxing lasts about four weeks before needing a repeat visit to the spa. On your first visit you may want to have a of drink (singular) before you go.

It's not recommended for the chest since the hair roots go deeper and the discomfort/pain could be more intense.
Also the pubic hair area is not recommended for males.

For the next visit I plan back of the neck, back, legs and brazilian lite, and the chest I will shave.

Norelco Body Groom. It's dynamite. I bought one about 6 years ago after they first came out and I’ve loved it ever since. I think I’ve nicked myself once with it in all that time.

It's as close as I can get without actually busting out the razor and shave gel. And while it's never going to be as close as a razor, it's really close and pretty damn good.

Plus no razor burn and it’s got length attachments for trimming the stuff you want to keep.

It’s specifically made to hack through all that man-forest down there.

Sorry I cant help, I have always used a razor.
I know MANY people who use deodorant. My problem is this... DATY!!! C'mon!!! I LOOOOOVE being the recipient of DATY & am thinking a mouthful of moisture-absorbing, nasty-tasting deodorant is NOT a good way to encourage this pleasure.

I have to ask what's up w/ the growing trend of fellas shaving their entire bodies. My standard comment is "hair separates the boys from the men". Yes, I smile really big while tweaking a nipple while doing so.

My ex-hubby is a hairy fella & I do understand feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable about hair on the back or excess hair in other areas. *Personally, I thought his red-headed fuzzy buns were cute as hell!* I would shave his back & neck then trim the chest, genitals & inner thigh areas w/ clippers. He was much more comfortable w/ himself.

Bike riders, swimmers, bodybuilders... They've been doing it for years, but the average guy? I'm just curious. Are there other reasons I just am not aware of such as discomfort? Is it itchy? Sorry... Just have an interest in this since I do get inquiries for manscaping a cpl times a week.

I have a friend who is getting laser hair removal down there. Brave man. He got fed up with waxing and in-growns. Actually was my suggestion as that was my own solution.
