Wow those Cali kings are huge!
I sleep in a full, have a queen for incall and a separate queen bed as backup. I also have a twin size bed but it's just a prop for picture sessions

When I lived in Phoenix, I had a studio....so I used a strong large sized futon mattress on a pallet on the floor and fixed it up like a "harem style" bed...complete with a silk screen cover & lots of throw pillows and a silk sheet...it was cool!
