i'll need to get my facts straight, but that might do it Because right everything is bought through debit card. but if i get cash all the time i can easily pocket more weekly..and it'll be untracable.

thx for the brainstorming
Talked to professional in the oil and gas industry that made over $45k last year panhandling on corners after work and weekends. Make quick untraceable dollars.......might be something to think about.

Just curious. Do you feel the same with the roles reversed?

I ask because I handle all finances for my wife and I. She doesn't have a clue about our finances. She works by the way.

i have never handled the finances and have no issue with money for the hobby.
I also have no debit card and have never ever used an ATM and do not plan on it any time soon.
Biggest mistake anyone can make is to go all plastic.
Cash is king. No trail.
Most people I know that have been busted has been because of leaving a trail.

I get tired of those assholes in front of me paying with plastic and holding up the line when I am trying to get me something to eat.
And since the IRS has access to all of your bank accounts, thank you very much ACA Obamacare, you are leaving them an electronic trail; should they ever decide to follow it. US banks are owned by the government when it comes to access your information.

Cash is king, just do not try to deposit large sums of it in your bank without coming under scrutiny and them sending notice to big brother. Same for taking it out. that is how they busted that pedophile politician that was paying blackmail. did not go to jail for paying the money but for how he took it out of his own bank.

Yeah I know there are too many of us and not enough of them that most of us will get lost in the system, most of us.

Letting ANYONE else have total control over your personal finances is a mistake. I believe even husbands and wives should keep separate bank accounts (with right of survivorship) as well as joints ones, if nothing else just for independent autonomy. Couples should make big money decisions together and be knowledgeable about the overall family fund flow, but little stuff shouldn't be sweated.

Marriage is supposed to be a partnership, not a dictatorship.

I've known several spouses on both sides who were screwed unpleasantly when their significant others either unexpectedly died or filed for divorce, or got caught up in bankruptcy when their SO didn't pay the bills and/or racked up a mountain o' debt when the other wasn't looking.

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but why not be prepared to handle any eventuality? Estate planning is just practical.

I've had a few gentlemen in the same fix, and they squirreled away money to visit me as has been described. It was a slow and frustrating process.
Changing the procedure will raise a red flag, however. The OP will either have to come up with a valid reason for a larger allowance, or find an additional source of hidden income.

This. You are getting ready to be screwed and not in a good way.

I have an online brokerage account that I control. I will draw a lump sum out 3 or 4 times a year to offset cash withdrawals from the bank. I'm pretty much cash only while the SO is all credit cards.

Yea what Fancy said

I do not understand why in the hell any guy would let a woman, ever ever, handle the finances???

Unless of course she is knocking down a 100k a year & your pulling down 20k bagging groceries?

Confucius said "Butch up Sally, put on your big girl panties & take it back or just cut off your nuts & crawl back under your rock"

This is a bad dream, I hope I wake up soon & never see another post like this again, huhuhuhu

A lot of bars that have cigarette machines will let you get cash on your tab to buy some smokes. They're 10 bucks a pack now most places, so I'd find a friendly bartender at a regular spot and tell him you need to get some cash on the side so the SO doesn't find out. He could ring you up for 8-10 packs worth and just give you the cash and it will look just like a decent sized bar tab on the accounts page. Gotta find a guy that won't get in trouble taking 80-100 bucks out of the till for one customer, but most bars these days are low on cash at the end of the night anyway because they pay out all of their credit card tips out of the till. So I doubt most bars that do give cash on a tab would give a shit.

I don't know if this is viable for you but it would work for me because I drink a lot and someone looking at my charges would never question a $100+ bar tab. Thankfully, I don't have anyone looking at my finances.

I also agree with the sentiment that if this is a recent development, she's suspicious of something and you'd better be extra careful so you don't wind up getting fucked in a divorce.

Take up gambling. Or golf. Or gambling on golf. You could go out and spend 200-300 on a session and come home with all your golf gear and blame the missing money on a bad day at the greens.

Visa or Amex gift cards come in handy denominations and as long as she is not gathering receipts you are ok, or you could pimp yourself what the heck it's already your hobby.

I feel sorry for them, or they're so dumb they deserve it............
