I seem to have a nose for spotting the type. I remember recently I was sitting at a sushi place in a mall and saw a blond girl sitting at a table near me set for two, but no one was currently occupying the other seat. Something about her demeanor made me wonder. She was overly tan, nose ring, a piercing and tattoo on her lower back (super low-rise jeans and tight, tiny shirt), over-processed hair, designer purse and sunglasses. I chuckled to myself and thought "she's either a wannabe Sugar Baby, or a BP escort."

Sure enough, an Asian man in his early 40s comes and sits across from her, and they resume their meal. I overhear bits and pieces of their conversation, and discover that she is, in fact, a Sugar Baby. And has no idea how to converse with a man in his 40s. She's just talking about how all of her friends are jealous of her, and how she has a friend who tries to be a SB, too, but she has no idea what she's doing, etc etc. All the while I'm trying not to laugh out loud. Very obvious that it was a first meeting, and I'm pretty sure their last. Also hilarious, they're eating sushi, and she doesn't know how to use chopsticks, so she just uses her hands.

That is hilarious. I've seen a few first time SB meetings in restaurants myself. Those are easy to spot because it always seems like the lady never understands how to dress like one.

As for the sushi, Nigiri is actually meant to be eaten with your hands. Sashimi is what the chop sticks are intended for...although most westerners use them for the entire meal. It seems to be accepted either way here. In Japan, its a little different.
