The depreciation of tits aren't normally permitted because they are so "personal" in nature,,,However, if they do enhance income as in being a stage prop and are cumbersome enough as in being super large in size and worn on a permanent basis that there is no personal benefit of having the procedure done, then yes they can be depreciated in accordance with the tax code.

Well there is the a reverse income tax credit for folks whose income is too low, where you file a tax return, pay no taxes and still get money back.

I'd like to see the same concept applied to The Hobby, either through some IRS rule or a provision of Obama-Care.

I worked very hard for a long time for next to nothing in the military service, even then what I earned all went to my wife and kids. I finally made some rank and became, after 12 years, a Middle Class earner. The military did pay for my education while I was on active duty but back then it wasn't anything like it is (The tuition) now and I got 4 degrees. I retired at 48 YO and 26 years of service at O6 rank. I worked for 7 years to develop and patent a system for the military after I retired. During that time I got heavily in debt and lived very sparsely those years. Now I have over the last 28 months made a Hell of a lot of money. Most of it in Europe where I established a dual citizenship & a corporation and the great majority of my earnings are taxed in the little country where I live. THe dollars I earned in the US were paid at the standard rate for the US.

Bottom line: I know America has been good to me but BY living/earning in Europe I have saved millions of tax $. Do I feel bad about it? No and why is because the boys and girls in D.C. have all decided to give my money to people who are poor -(Just like I was for over 25 years and Never asked for anything from the Govt) and I am happy to have that money and invested, saved and spent it as I will in Europe. I really feel that the last 30 years of Congressmen and Presidents should be tried and put in prison for TREASON -ALL of them no matter which party. YEP THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I FEEL
