Emmie and I have never met, but she has been nothing but sweet and a perfect lady in the board. She is supportive of other women and a positive light in many worlds.

We have always been friendly and a dear friend of mine is not local but was worried. This is an extremely isolating business for women, so I wanted to reach out on all of our behalf. I met her at her home on Sunday with dinner, flowers...and of course wine. I never know what to do in situations like this but that combo seems to go well.

We haven't met in the past but I see that sweet beauty that others do in her.


I can say that I don't think she is in any condition to hang out with friends. We can't help but be in question of those who ask for something for nothing or handouts.

The best way that I know to help is to offer my time and companionship to her clients, with no intentions of taking them, but a one time Fun-Raiser for her.

Perhaps I am out of touch and none of Emmie's friends want to see me. However, it you are on board, here is my proposition.

My requested donation is $4/time and companionship. I am willing to see Emmie's clients in her absence for $3, giving her 50 or any amount over that which will be directly given to her.

I think there is a lot more to giving a hand up than asking for a hand out and am willing to do that for a valued member of our community. No,I'm not a goodie two shoes, I just think that regardless of what a community is about, the sole word "community" implies helping those we may but only virtually know.

If you are looking for something to do to help Emmie, I am willing to be the catalyst. If you would like to help in your own way, please do. I just don't think she is in a position to see friends right now.

I would like to thank everyone for all the kind words, PM messages , text messages and phone calls. As I am sure that everyone at this point is aware my mother passed away. As many of you already know my father passed away 12 years ago , so this loss has definitely hit me very hard. I am posted for appointments because well life still continues even when you're not ready for it. I feel as tho my mom would not want me to be stuck in bed, yet out here doing what I love to do! ��
