You should be able to block any number instantly on the cell phone from anyone that calls. I have more than a few marketing calls for things like free travel to whatever. Just hang up, find the recent calls, go to information on the caller and either block directly or give it a funny last name, like "Nonsense" and then block it.
It is not a bad idea to block and unblock certain callers as your personal needs direct. A hobby email with a special password can help with your security and piece of mind.
