I'm likely in that same generation. For me, it's sometimes just the art itself rather than the amount of ink. I find some tattoos on a lady's body to be fascinating and creative. Where I take issue is when there is art that depicts violence and *censored*-use.

Unfortunately a lot of people just "get tattooed." Then it's like graffiti on the body instead of a nicely done piece of art. This never enhances a person, it just draws the eyes away from anything particular so you're just looking at a big mess.

Someone else said once, and I paraphrase "I've never seen a beautiful girl and thought, 'you know what this girl needs? A big ass tattoo!'"

I love tattoos on a lady, it can show her creativity or life story. I do dislike when people get tattoos just to get tattoos. they should have meaning behind them.

"Not Distracting" in my opinion means, "attractive despite the tattoos". But, I've never seen a woman made more attractive by them, sorry.

I have actually thought of that. As part of my hobby I did seek out a porcelain beauty and at the end that was the feeling I had - She is good but a nice tattoo would make her a work of art rather than the blank sheet of paper that I have to stare at when I am K9

Tats CAN be distracting, but to me, it is really the content of the character of the girl that makes the tats distracting or not, and depending on the tastefulness, they can be a great enhancer to a ladies physical looks. Some get tats just because they think it is cool, try to fit in, or some other reason, but when they get up in their later years, those tats do not look as cool anymore. A while back, I saw a time lapse video of a stripper tattoo on a girl from the time she got it done, to when she was stripping all the way till she was 50........that was some funny shit how it expanded, drooped and looked nasty after a while, and the same thing is going to happen with the other ladies, unless they go get the tats removed after their providing/stripping days are over for good.

I love tatted up men! That's super sexy.

I'm not a fan with women having tats

Tasteful tats that are artistic are not a distraction. It's the tramp stamp tats that say, "This ass belongs to ______" or a tat on her hoha that says "Cock Garage" that are turn offs to me.

But doesn't a person get tired of having to explain the story behind the tattoo to every single person who sees it? It becomes like a script. (e.g. "This is because I triumphed over cancer." Ok, every single follow up conversation is going to be about your cancer.)

My niece had a miscarriage and tattooed the initials of the lost baby on the back of her hand. Every waitress pouring her a cup of coffee knows about the lost baby, but it takes a real conversation for anyone to find out about her living children.

The idea of wearing black when you are in mourning is that some day you will be through mourning and can take it off.

And that's something else about tattoos, the ones that insist you ask about them. How gross that someone puts initials of a dead baby just so people will ask them about it?! But people do it all the time, as if without the constant attention from it, the person will be responsible for their own image (aka not that of the grieving mother.) Plus, God knows you're not really cool unless you're wearing the uniform!

I look at the over-tattooed female this way - if you need your girl to have them, you have no appreciation for the female form. If she needs them to feel beautiful she's probably got an inferiority complex and the amount of tattoos kind of says it all, especially if she's the "tough" type. Yeah, a girl tattooed in the 80's was probably an edgy chick. A girl tattooed now...? Meh.

Most of the time "distracting" is a nice way of saying "unattractive". The reviewer or commenter just doesn't want to say that.

I think the best comment I ever heard was that it is very rare that tattoos made a woman look better. At best they are neutral. In most cases they detract from her beauty.

I know mine do not enhance my looks. That's not why I have them. I have them because they mean something. I accept that there are people who won't like them and that's OK.

I think I just tend to be drawn to whatever the current exception-to-the-rule is. Right now, for the most part, everyone has ink and shaves her nethers. That was cool when it began but now I'm even more turned on by a natural girl with no ink and groomed pubes. Feels more GFE to me. Or maybe it just takes me back to my college days...
