First of all, best wishes that all goes well.

But, it's also worth extending props for communicating in ways that prevent misunderstandings and conflict. We've an example going on now where an ounce of timely communication, like this, would have avoided a peck of problems. I'm not intending to dump on anyone else, not knowing the true circumstances. But it is usually possilbe to take a few minutes to compose a brief note like this.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
THE PROCEDURE WE HAD DONE WAS A LEFT HIP SUBLUXATION CHIARI OSTEOTOMY.

SURGERY BEGAN AT 8:AM. IT WAS A ROUGH MORNING AS THE IV WAS GIVING US A HARD TIME. MY SON IS 14yrs OLD AND I CAN COUNT ON BOTH HANDS HOW MANY TIMES HE HAS CRIED. TODAY WAS ONE OF THEM. (which lead to my tears).
AS THE NURSES TOOK HIM AWAY, ALL I COULD DO WAS HANG ON TO THE SUPPORT AND LOVE THAT EVERYONE ON HERE HAS SHOWN ME.
DON'T GET ME WRONG, I HAVE FAMILY AND AN OLDER DAUGHTER THAT OFFER AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF SUPPORT, BUT IT WAS THE LOVE AND SUPPORT OF MY "FRIENDS" AND PEOPLE THAT I HAVE YET TO MEET THAT CARRIED ME THROUGH THIS. THE OUTPOUR OF SUPPORT HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING AND A BLANKET OF COMFORT.
WHEN THE SURGEON CAME OUT TO TELL ME ALL WENT WELL (only 3 hours later) I WAS FILLED WITH JOY.
HE EVEN GAVE ME THE SCREWS FROM THE PREVIOUS SURGERY THAT WENT BAD AS A SUVENIER.

REVIEW: (I got "screwed" by my sons surgeon).

RECOMMEND: HELL NO!

MY SON IS DOING WELL. VIRTUALLY PAIN FREE AND RESTING PEACEFULLY. (now maybe I can get some much needed rest). We should be able to go home in a few days.

I can't thank you guy's and gals enough. I love you all and can't wait to get back to work to give as many hugs as possble. (topless that is).
