To the original poster.... You're going to have to start by investing some time doing research. Honestly we can't tell what you're looking for and likewise we can't tell you specifically what to do but it all begins by doing a lot of research. If you want pay for play then this site is a good start but so will getting a premium membership so you can learn more details. Then once you think you have a really basic understanding go to P411, which is a verification website and get a membership there. See some newbie providers, get some references, then you're on your way down the yellow brick road to hobbyvile.
If you're looking for something more consistent then perhaps the SB route is what you need but again lots of research. Find out what websites are worth it and which ones suck. I go out often, but rarely to never in a situation where I'm available to meet people. As in, I go out for business dinners, or parties...but not to clubs or bars. One of my bfs used to have something similar, but I think they called it Social Avoidance Disorder (not saying that's the OPs issue in the least bit).
