Once again, SK nailed it.

Get a burner or Google voice if it's an issue for you.

As a provider, I assume that if someone texts or calls me from a number, I have lee way to call or text that number back.

Have had gents do what Muse said, specify a time frame in which I can contact them back. If they don't do that, I assume it is ok for me to whenever I get their message.

Seriously. Some of you fucktards need to figure out your smartphones. You can turn off notifications. You can set do not disturbs. Personally having more than one phone would be a bigger problem for me. Either deal with 2 phones or work with the technology you have. If you are still carrying a flip phone you're fucked.

The older flip phones IE non smart phones are actually better for the Hobby.

Reason is that most do not have a GPS in them so you do not run the risk of tracking via that way.. Yes they can triangulate via the towers the amount of work involved in that,, doubtful they will do that to bust a guy or girl.

I see the pros and cons of both, burner apps vs burner phone...

You are partially correct. GPS has been in cell phones since 2003. Remember seeing an E911 indicator? You could turn it off up until around 2007. No it runs in the background in perpetuity

Never saw the E911 indicator...and it was my understanding that you could turn it off.. but if you dialed 911 it turned on for tracking.

Either way a burner phone works better.. battery removal when not needed tends to leave the GPS OFF
